Was going to go with my usual clever caption but there's really no punny way to say that last week I got to be a proud Jew in a lot of places and that's simply something I will never take for granted again. Between visiting two Jewish queens in Nola, to traveling with my other Jewish queen (& another honorary soul sister4life) to two other countries, on a cruise ship meeting people from all over the world, proudly wearing my Chai Necklace explaining the meaning to the Artist I met in Mexico, and sharing loudly that Jaxx has the same birthday as BiBi N3t@nyahu and @kimkardashian ANDDD @dojacat (& they try to tell us astrology isn't real???) without fear of repercussion, harm, or the evil eye. & then coming home watching white people crying because of the election while simultaneously watching a p0gr0m happen in what we thought to be one of the most liberal cities in the world in real time. They say history repeats itself, and 2024 is a weird effing time to be a Jew. But so was 1944, and 1924, and 1864, and one constant through the literal test of time is that when we lean into our Judaism, our ruach our neshama our souls, our connection to the divine light - en sof- WE ALWAYS WIN. We got to watch never again in action. We got to do for ourselves today what we couldn't do for Anne Frank and the rest of the Jews in Amsterdam during the Holocaust, and I think that's beautiful. One year with the love of my life. Thank you Luna, you have healed parts of me that after being robbed and assaulted in my own home (& beating the shit out of my assailaint 💪🏼) I never imagined could be fixed. My mind went from "what is that noise? Who the fuck is in my house?" To "awww where's Luna hiding?" 💗 My mind went from "blink camera notification? Who the fuck is in my house?"
