By embedding the lyrics of โ€œBlue Velvet,โ€ the work activates the viewerโ€™s memory, allowing a silent image to generate its own internal soundtrack. The familiar melody becomes a cultural lullaby, trapping the figures in a state of domestic trance. Yet this quiet comfort is deliberately fractured by dream logic: a breathless tagline and a ruined vintage watch suggest that time itself is leaking away.
