Excited to share that STEALING MAGIC from director @mattestagram and @magiccastlehollywood and @fishbowl_films will have its #worldpremiere at @tribeca. Someone is stealing the secrets behind magicians’ greatest tricks and reselling them online. Magician @andigladwin from @vanishingincmagic leads an unlikely team of illusionists on an international caper to track down the culprits. Featuring @pennandtellerlive and more from the world of magic and beyond. Produced by Ethan Smith, @melanie.d.miller, @dibecka, and Randy Pitchford. Experience the magic this June in New York! #Tribeca25th • Magician Andi Gladwin becomes an unlikely citizen detective for the world of magic, leading a covert team of illusionists on a global hunt for the internet pirates who are destroying their business by stealing and reselling their most closely guarded tricks through a scam website. • This true-crime international caper follows Gladwin and his ragtag crew as they chase leads around the globe, confronting blackmail, threats, cyberattacks and escalating danger at every turn. With the future of magic hanging in the balance, these modern-day sleuths must rely on the very skills that define them: deception, misdirection and ingenuity, to outwit their adversaries and protect the art they love. • Director & Executive Producer: @matttestagram Producers: #EthanSmith @melanie.d.miller @dibecka #RandyPitchford Production Companies - @fishbowl_films @magiccastlehollywood Co-Executive Producers: @bitterborg Co-Producers: @gabrielagonzalezinla ✨ Field Producer: @amandasarabia 🫶🏽 Editor: @croz_daddy Add’l Editor: @edmund.stenson @funeralcasual #DavidAristizabal DoP: @bryandonnell_dp @tom.cinematography @jonathan_ingalls GaryClarke Production Designer: @xenteven Art Director: @sajmro 💘 Composer: @annadrubich Colorist: ShaneO’Connor Supervising Sound Editor and Re-Recording Mixer: @tripbrock Associate Producer: @molmol_bryant @hortoninstawho Post Production House: @rawr_post_productions Sound House: @monkeylandaudio Title & GFX Design: @designer_al Production Supervisors: @faroutgirl @mschristinara Accountant: @winjstar Festival Public Relations: @c_albert by @xenteven
CANNES. 3 months ago producer @zosiags said to me “Hey, there’s this thing! Deadline is in 2 weeks.” So I thought - what if write something? Today. What if I can shoot it in one day, and turn it in on time? I called @xenteven @julibetancourth @jaimeandres.salazar @camila_curtis @wilromero and they all said yes to this crazy idea. I called @nick.ritacco and Don Peccia and they also jumped on the crazy train. Now, this story that talks about something deeply meaningful to me, will be showcased at the @fantasticpavilion at the @marchedufilm in @festivaldecannes I think the takeaway is: go out there and swing, swing big. If they keep you in the dugout, build your own stadium. I did it with @theshadowofthesun I did it with this, and you can do it too. You MUST do it too. Thank you, team. You are the only crowd I care about in the stadium. You guys build the dream. Se les quiere. Thank you @fantasticpavilion @pablo_guisa for this great honor. We are beyond thrilled to share that REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE will be streaming on MAX starting January 1, 2025! Originally set for 2023 to celebrate WB’s 100th Anniversary, filmmakers were chosen to reimagine timeless classics from WB but as a short film 😳 Our fearless writer/director Juan Pablo @_jjuanpablo was selected to put his own spin on REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE - no small task but JP killed it like he always does! Though production was delayed by two strikes, we finally filmed in April 2024 with an incredible cast, the best creative team, and a strong production team all in 4 days! It was a dream to shoot on the WB lot and I remain grateful to JP and our entire team!
