I don’t know where to start but I will keep it as short as I can. There is about 1 million posts already but I been to sad and upset to write anything since your brother called me on Friday with this devastating news 😔💔

But opening my phone the last 2 days there is nothing but love from the whole wide world. From your friends, The Hard Core scene but also
The punk rock world and also from mainstream media,

Also sorrow and sadness as you will be more missed then you could ever imagine my friend . You were truly loved by so many.

You and the rest of your band changed so many peoples life’s including mine. It’s been said by others in the last few days but you guys taught me everything about how to be in a band or work for a band and how that should be done. Glad I got to spend months and months for a few years on the road with you and the rest of Sick Of It All.

You also were apart of creating a scene that became my life and still am. For me and so many others, so thanks for that.
You and the rest of Sick Of It All are true legends.

That I got to have you as my friend for almost 30 years means that we did become family in a way. We hung out, laughed , cried, traveled and even played together. I got to see you in your happiest moments and your character and charisma could charm anyone.

You stood for something. You wanted to stand up for the weak and helpless in society and you did and it helped!

Your voice, your lyrics.
You and your blood brothers, Pete, Armand and Craig did that.

We will never forget and I hate that that I am gonna have to wait till I’m on the other side to get to laugh and hear your voice again.

But till then my brother.
Rest easy and as devastated me and many others are I hope you can feel all the love and see all the tears that been shed the last few days as me and so many will miss you so very much.

The first time H2O set foot on a Swedish stage was 1995 at Vänerparken, Vänersborg. They were on tour with @sickofitallnyc and @civ_gb (the band)

I had only been to a handful of shows prior to this one (some really good ones too). Needless to say, I was blown away and completely taken by the brute force and intensity of my first live encounter with NYHC!

H2O only had a 7” out at the time, and I had never heard them prior to the show. Being a fan of GB & Bad Religion, their melodic approach in combination with raw swag & unmistakable HC attitude flipped my switches instantly!

Could be that even to this day this is the show I’ve been to with the most intense lineup of bands in their prime that I still deem as some of the greatest.

Other bands who played this show were @abhinanda_hc , Final Exit, Start Today & New Direction (very GB-influenced evening in every way).

To the point… Can’t wait to see H2O in Gothenburg some 30 years later - make sure you join me! June 30th @kulturlagretgbg
