The video has a deeply surreal, dream-like, and emotionally whiplash-inducing feeling.
It begins with a strong sense of peaceful nostalgia and serenity — the vast green field swaying in the wind under a perfect blue sky with dramatic clouds feels almost meditative and hopeful, like a Studio Ghibli-style escape or a memory of childhood freedom.
This quickly fades into melancholy and quiet desolation as the abandoned, rotting car appears. There’s a haunting, lonely atmosphere — the rusted metal and broken windows evoke abandonment, the passage of time, and faded glory. It feels eerie and slightly sad, like stumbling upon something forgotten by the world.
Then the mood dramatically shifts into dread and raw power. The tornado sequence is tense, chaotic, and terrifying. The dark skies, flying debris, and approaching funnel create a sense of impending doom and helplessness. It feels violent, unpredictable, and overwhelming — almost apocalyptic.
Finally, the video ends with absurd, lighthearted absurdity. The sudden jump to the sunny beach with the dancing man, combined with the big cartoon face overlay, delivers comedic relief and complete tonal whiplash. It turns silly, random, and meme-like, as if the video is mocking its own earlier intensity. taken in Folk Valley by @xfeline_simulatorx
