Had the pleasure of speaking at the University of Maryland Project Management Symposium.

“Sustainable Leadership: Managing Yourself Before Managing the Project”

This presentation was about how imperative it is that we as leaders prioritize our own wellbeing so that we can engage with our teams from a space of regulation. Honoring our own capacity so we can honor the capacity of those around us.

I introduced “The Menu Method” a time management framework I developed that provides a structure to help us prioritize the areas of life that are important to us while also remaining flexible to the ever changing nature of life.

I really enjoyed getting to dialogue with the audience afterwards. It gave me an opportunity to highlight the fundamental mission behind the work: shifting the paradigm of work culture away from hustle culture and burnout as the norm into one where systems are redesigned with our humanness and what we need to be well and whole as a priority.

Im looking forward to bringing this workshop to more teams and organizations. by @xgrounded
