This is my new sign for vending at Witchy Markets IRL! Selling my crowd-funded and independently produced tarot decks, divination mats, divination coins, spell jars, sigil key-chains, hand-knotted gemstone malas and more at @paganpridela was so fun! I want to try and vend at more events like this! I am going to sign up to be a vender at @witches.magick.markets as much as possible too…those are once a month! but if you guys, gals, and pals, know of other pop-up witchy markets in CA that I should consider Vending at, please @ them in the comments!

Anyway, I do think that my booth / display game could use an upgrade! I am going to print this sign on some nice fabric, and try to create a really cool and unique table-runner sign thing…I’m thinking I can sew it onto some nice black jacquard or brocade fabric with some gold trim and tassels… my Grandmother is pro-quilter so I am going to ask her for her guidance…wish me luck!

@clipstudioofficial —the ONLY program I use for my illustrations these days—is doing an art contest with the theme “smile”, wherein contestants are encouraged to submit artwork that includes smiles and/or themes that make them smile. The illustration I did for The Princess of Earth Tarot card came to mind, and I thought I might take a shot in the dark and submit her.

Sure, she has a gentle, peaceful smile, content to simply exist amidst the innate wonders and miraculous, beautiful treasures of the natural world, and to count herself among them. But, the truth is, I actually drew this card when I was feeling really depressed over both the real and existential sufferings of existence. I was overwhelmed by my perceived isolation and powerless. Drawing her was so cathartic that it actually brought tears to my eyes, because she reminded me of the intrinsic beauty of life that makes it worth living, despite all the pain, hardship, anxiety, sorrow, and despair. Alone, we sometimes feel weak, but no matter how strongly to the contrary we may feel, we are never truly alone. And together we are strong. From the clouds in the sky and the breeze blowing through our hair, to the grass beneath our feet and the water that flows through us and around us, to the warmth of the sun as it kisses our skin, and the scent of each flower as it unfurls its beauty before us and the bugs and birds and animals alike…we are all so intimately connected. Through the sharing of our world, every organism is united. Cared for. Loved. Through struggle and triumph, through joy and sorrow, peace and war, for better and for worse, we are One. Things sprout and grow, struggle, wither and rot. This is the way of things, this is give and take of Mother Earth. This is the lesson that she teaches: There is no love without suffering. No pleasure without pain. No triumph without struggle. But that is part of the beauty of existence. Knowing that—seeing and feeling and holding that truth in my hands and in my heart…loving it, as it loves us, through the darkness and the light, at its best and its worst…that is what makes me smile.

It’s been a loooooong time since I have painted traditionally. I have decided to try and complete a fully traditional piece every 1-2 weeks as I work to reacquaint myself with this medium. Practice IS the goal. Perfection is the enemy.

This watercolor & pen illustration depicts the soul choosing to accept their “lot of fortune” from the divine decree of heaven with open arms. Mother moon looks on anxiously, preparing to birth for them a mortal form doomed, despite her best efforts, to suffer and someday die. Yet the soul has chosen to incarnate and Luna must respect and support their sovereignty.

This traditional watercolor illustration represents The lot of Spirit, Which is the point in the astrological natal chart that indicates how/where/why the illuminating light of spirit becomes visible in the manifest world through us—becomes embodied within us—and guides our consciousness so that our will alone may move the physical matter of our bodies so that we may embark upon The Great Work that is our soul’s integration and ultimate fulfillment. The Alchemic Child, The Fool, the filius philosophorum…we are the dreamers of the dream, the creators of creation, the arbiters of reason, order, and purpose in a sea of chaos…we are but fools upon the journey because we often fail to understand that we are the journey and the destination both. Together and as individuals—to be is the point, to become is our purpose.

Btw, please be sure to check out my patreon where you can find much much more of my artwork including previews from The Onyx & Opal tarot decks such as this one!

Watercolor 2/122 for The Opal Tarot (watercolor version of the black and white Onyx tarot) is complete.

I’m almost done with this traditional watercolor illustration of the goddess Venus. In astrology, Venus represents love, pleasure, beauty, luxury, value, harmonious relationships, desire and devotion. She is the patroness of beauty in all it’s many forms, from kisses and hugs to art and music.

This original, traditional, watercolor painting will be available for purchase at my shop (link in bio) when it’s finished…in case anyone is interested in procuring an original Venus painting to beautify their environments…👀

Hey guys—real talk. I am a small, independent artist, and I make tarot decks. These tarot decks are so precious to me, and I pour all my heart, soul, and hard-won esoteric wisdom into each and every one. I NEVER use any AI in ANY part of my artistic process, and consequently these decks take me years to make. I survive between kickstarter deck projects by selling my witchy wares online—but to be frank, my business has not been doing well these last few years. I am struggling to be seen amidst the endless sea of digital noise created by AI generated slop and rage-bait nonsense. I am legitimately worried my business won’t survive the winter. What happens then? Will I have to abandon my passion so I can get a day job and feed my family? Will The Children of Yule even get to be born? I honestly don’t know. I need help, plain and simple. Please spread the word of my works and if you can, consider joining me as a paid member over at my patron, where you can have exclusive access to vids like the one previewed here which show me creating the artwork for my various tarot cards, sped up, with an informational voice-over that goes into my intended meanings and thought process behind each card. I also have 3 monthly tarot reading where I use the very decks I created to answer questions and provide personal insights for my patrons on whichever topics they inquire of me. The link is in my bio.

If you have been waiting to do something or start something or finish something that you really want to do /start/finish until you are “more skilled” or “more experienced” or “more confident”…this is your sign to stop waiting. Just do it. Then, even if it’s not the most perfect thing you’ve ever done…at least you will have done it.

One of my last commissions from this most recent batch…I loved working on this one. It was supposed to go up for MERmay, but alas. Also, condensing hours and hours of work into 1-2min videos to appease the algorithm will never not be weird. I think it gives people the wrong idea of this whole process tbh but here we are. 😵‍💫

Also, I NEVER use ANY AI in any part of my art process/work because fuk A I. So, If you want to help a real human artist navigate and stay afloat in the hellscape of slop that our visual world has become, consider joining me over on patreon! There, you can also get more content and updates regarding many of my in-process projects (such as The Children of Yule Tarot, and The Onyx Fairytale tarot, for example). You know where to find the link if you’re interested!

📓✨ The Nameless One
