Hope all the moms had a great Mother’s Day!
A mother and her chicks. 🐥 This piece was requested by my mother, and I couldn’t deny her especially on her day! It was incredibly fun to paint and play with the composition, and lighting. I wanna paint some chickens in traditional watercolor now!

Sailing through the river in Bangkok, from our visit a few months ago. The temples looked like shimmering dreams at night, and I wanted to capture that.

Swipe for closeups and process>>>>>
Back in February I received a mask I had ordered from the incredibly talented @hiromitsu.430 , and I had been wanting to do a study for a long time of it (scroll to the end to see it, next to the real tiger!)

This study was made for @ryanlangdraws ‘s schoolism class, week04 assignment: effective studies. I’m not used to doing studies with more than 2 light sources; this one was challenging for that reason using the watercolor method, and I also wanted to play with lost edges.

Lots of fun!

$Another study from ref (Pinterest) created for @ryanlangdraws ‘s week 04 assignment: Effective Studies. I wanted to push the watercolor effects of wet on wet inside the reflections on this one, as well as give the refractions a realistic feel while trying to keep it impressionistic and not fully render what I saw. Sharing some closeups for what I mean, and the first 3 passes! #watercolor #digital #acuarela #colorandlight #🦢 by @xiaogabe$

Flower study from ref. One of the studies made for week 04 of @ryanlangdraws Schoolism live class! Here I’m trying to push the watercolor feel of wet on wets in the shadow, and overexposing lights, keeping the details in the light minimal and inferred.

Untamed | 野性 | Florida Bobcat
Process of a sticker design I made for @sticknslap.orl ‘s Into The Wild themed exhibition. What should this bobcat’s name be, and why did you choose Bobbi?

I hope to make small series with other animals I like and different words fitting their vibe.
