Last summer I teared up at Audrey’s concert in Brooklyn, and a year later she’s my first editorial I worked on with 3D printed nails. I can’t even explain the joy I felt seeing this shoot come together. I felt so touched and proud to see an Asian woman on stage leading in music. That’s all my child self wanted to see growing up in the U.S. Yeah so getting all mushy, this one meant a lot to me ( ^ω^ )

Thank you so much to the team:

“So… how’s your nail thing going?” 🫠
The way I used to dread this question. I felt so embarrassed for not being in corporate anymore while most of my friends were still on their 9-to-5 grind, wondering if I was just being delulu for pursuing art after building a solid career for myself.

I didn’t even realize how much has shifted until putting this edit together. Year 1 vs. Year 2 hits crazy. 🥹😭

I completely burned myself out in year one running my press-on business and had to take a 4-month hiatus. Went back to China 🇨🇳, learned 3D modeling and printing, and spent some real time confronting why I was so terrified of letting my art actually be seen.

Fast forward to now, and I’m making pieces I wouldn’t have imagined possible a year ago. It feels surreal.

Growth isn’t linear. There were so many moments where I felt like I fell face-first onto concrete. But damn… I’m really proud of myself for this one. 🛸⭐️

A new collection drop for @starxdnails is finally in the works. I promise I didn’t give up. I just needed time to find love for nail art and myself again. 🫂🩵 by @xingbaebei

Design, 3D modeled, & printed my me :) by @xingbaebei

My first headset that I made worn by Rowling 🦌
This is actually one of the first things I 3D sculpted & printed. Would love to do more (>^ω^<) by @xingbaebei

Bra layered over a shirt in a crowded Kunming wet market where even bare shoulders get you stared down. This shoot felt less like modeling and more like me rebelling in my hometown.
Got asked why I stopped modeling fr. I’m just not built to be commercially palatable. I started modeling to push against the beauty standards I grew up with, not fit into them (^з^)-☆ by @xingbaebei

Eh yeah idk why I don’t post my art I guess I’m always critiquing myself😗 so yeah here’s a set of nails I made back in March being very temporarily applied with some tacky strip (which is why you can see the white underneath)

Sculpted in #nomadsculpt printed with resin printing #anycubicphoton #3dprinted

Finally posting my 2 weeks in Thailand with Nat so I can reminisce the food, massages, shopping, nature, jazz, photo booths, and did I mention the food????

Me pulling my back & not being able to bend down for a week. Staying up talking all night and at 5 am we venture out and find a breakfast market where all the locals go. Doing morning exercises with local old people and a cat. Spending days in a honeymoon resort and going a lil crazy. Feeling the wind on a scooter at night after shopping all day in Bangkok…
Planning to retire early & move to Thailand in my 40s to start a commune with my friends🤠 by @xingbaebei

My first big mistake with #3dprinting #resinprinting #3dprintednails 🥺 I had to change out my FEP film which thankfully Anycubic made easy to change films. It still took like 30+ minutes to change the film out cause I was paranoid that the pressure on the film would be uneven 🫪 by @xingbaebei

A big Chengdu appreciation post & I miss my girls :’) How was this 3 months ago already? by @xingbaebei
