Super excited to announce some upcoming performances in NSW and VIC, with the amazing Sun Valley crew (Joyce, David and Michael). Hope to see some friends there and share with you our beautiful and curious sonic explorations 🌀🪉🐚👂🎼💫🐦‍⬛

Our first show is on Saturday 19th September at the Wollemi Standing Stones as part of Cementa 2026.

Next we’ll be in Naarm for two performances (26&27th) where we will be joined by Dylan Martorell, and then to end the mini tour we’ll have a show in Marickville at Syrup Contemporary on the 1st of Octoberrrrrr

Excerpts from a video artwork I made for Good Grief studio's recent exhibition at their space in Hobart/nipaluna! So grateful to have been a part of it, thank you to the @goodgriefstudios team <3

Sometimes I play a private game. It starts with stopping somewhere and looking, and in my looking I try to see something invisible. I try to catch it unaware, to find it hiding in the flight of a bird, in the strike of lightning, in the crest of a wave. I try to uncover it in the ordinary moments no one else seems to have noticed. I slow the scene down in my mind, but not so much that I lose sight of the whole, and watch long enough for my elusive subject to forget I’m there.

And then I see it, an invisible thing. I see it dancing with the visible.

In this video work, scenes play side by side, each one relating to the next. As if two eyes in the one viewer are seeing the same thing appear in different ways. This practice of looking reveals to me a choreography at play, all around us, all the time. The dance between beings and the unseeable forces governing our worlds. Perhaps we can feel them on our skin, hear them, or smell them, but on the visual plane, how do they manifest? Through the sensation of looking they appear as a voice in the chorus of things. Like the bass note, barely perceptible, but driving the whole. And so beneath the visuals is a composition made by manipulating the recording of an ancient Georgian hymn, sung by the Rustavi Choir. Central to the rich tradition of Georgian polyphonic singing is the union of different voices to achieve something greater and even transcendent. Singing together in this way seems to evoke these mysterious invisible forces, by weaving them into the songs, as in a dance.

Earlier this year, I was on a little road trip with Cecile, swimming at the Newcastle Ocean Baths, when I received the email saying that I had been selected for the 2025 Hatched National Graduate show at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art. In my excitement and jubilation I decided that I would drive there and asked Cec if she would want to come with me. Luckily for me she agreed. Now that this year is drawing to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what it has meant for me. I think back to this moment at the Baths with Cecile, and I feel an immense amount of gratitude for what I was given in that moment. I could not have anticipated what an incredible experience it would be, the adventures I would have, the amazing people I would meet and how rewarding it would be to bring my harp back to life for a second time. As I reflect, I feel the need to thank all the people who supported me!

I want to first thank inimitable curator of Hatched Mia and the amazing exhibition coordinator Lizzy, who along with the rest of the team at PICA, they went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience for the artists and of course to put on a great show.
Thank you to the install team who made it all possible and did such an incredible job of transforming the space and making every artwork sing in its new space. Special thank you to the legendary Rob Kettels who unknowingly signed on to building the torturous construction project that is my artwork for an entire week. I loved our conversations and I am filled with gratitude for how much you believed in my work and were dedicated to making it happen.
Thank you to Emma and Liam at SCA who are the reason why this even happened in the first place, and helped me every step of the way. Thank you endlessly for the support that made it possible. Thank you to my teachers and now friends David and Joyce who were instrumental in the making of the first iteration of the work, and without whom this would not have been possible.
Finally thank you to my friends and family who came across the way to support me and be there with me 😭🩷

A Piece of the Sky in Strings, 2024

Last year, I made an Aeolian Harp, an instrument that is played by the wind vibrating a set of tuned strings. As part of a larger site-specific artwork titled ‘A Piece of the Sky in Strings’, the concept was inspired by the speculations of Charles Babbage, inventor of the first modern computer. He believed that the pulsations of air set in motion by the voice continue to move through the air as sound waves, and etch themselves into the fabric of the atmosphere for eternity. Every word, every breath, rippling across space continuous and time everlasting.

The wind is a transmission, a dispatch, from the sky — announcing itself in sound and movement, as it comes into contact with trees, with buildings, with ears. While we may never hear the words of the past as they were spoken, we hear them in the way they make the world dance. In the strings of the harp, an entire planetary history is transformed into a fleeting, yet simultaneously everlasting music.
Out of this speculation, comes an experiment; a body that breathes in and out, a sculpture that pulls music out of the atmosphere — just for a moment — and circulates it back into the silent air. A harp that sings out of turbulence and the heaving breath of Earth. A silence that listens.

Created for my Honours course at Sydney Uni. Every aspect of this work was a challenge, every day I spent with it was a rollercoaster, and I wouldn’t have been able to finish this project without an incredible support network of friends and family and teachers. A big thank you to David and Joyce who made this work possible.
