If you’re faced with an aggressive dog:• Don’t run if you can avoid it. That can trigger a chase.• Get something between you and the dog—a backpack, trash can, bicycle, jacket... anything that creates space.• Stay on your feet if you can. If you’re knocked down, protect your head and neck and stay curled up until it’s safe to move.• If you’re with a child, get them behind you or pick them up before the dog gets close, if you can do it safely.• Once you’re safe, call 911 and get medical attention.
