It may have been a school night but my god did we have such a great time at the @jutesmusic concert in the @musicboxsd. What an incredible venue and an even more incredible artist!

If he ever comes to a city near you, you need to go! Cause lemme tell you what, THAT MIC WAS ON HUNNAY! My man was SANGING his heart out!

10/10 will see again!

We picked up your ashes today. It’s so nice to have you back home.

We miss you so much fatty girl…

Your mama misses her shadow and her best friend. Thank you for keeping me company all these years when you daddy was away and saving my life during Covid. My not so sweet sweetie girl. ❤️

I hope you loved seeing the hummingbirds today because they CAME OUT for you. I haven’t been able to stop mourning you. Every day I look for you and sometimes I just call out for you and hope to hear you answer me back.

At times I convince myself you did and other times I can smell the alcohol that coated your fur in the hospital as if you are sitting right next to me.

Please don’t forget to visit me from time to time my little Bruja! 🥹

I secretly adopted you while Alex was underway and I remember in the shelter you reached out through the cage bars and grabbed my sleeve. You were on sale for $25 bucks plus free tickets to six flags (what a bargain!)

When I picked you up, you suckled on my shirt and made biscuits into my skin. I adopted you on Halloween day and I called you my little witchy kitty, hence why I name you Broomhilda 🧙🏽‍♀️.

Unbeknownst to me and your father you were a problem from day one. You were sassy and independent and you let everyone who came in contact with you know it. You never gave a warning before you unleashed your claws and you meant business. (Pure Tortitude!)

As the years went on you became more and more calm and you realized how much we adored you and cared for you.

From getting lost for 3 days at your uncles @rubenxortiz and then moving to CA via a cross country road trip from NC, you were always down for an adventure.

We got you when you were 2 years old and have enjoyed every year of these 12 years together. These past couple days have been some of the worst of my life and I wish it hadn’t happened this way.

We always dreamed you would live till 30 out of spite and turn into one of those crunchy robot cats you see online. But sadly life had other plans. I’m just thankful I was at home and your father was able to get off work to come with me to the ER.

They did everything they could but sadly the best thing for you was to let you go because we didn’t want you to continue to suffer.

We will miss you every day baby girl and it will never get easier, you were a huge part of our lives and we lost you too soon.

Rest in peace and tell your brothers, Goya Bean Macaroon and Señor Moo Kitty, I miss them and they have to be nice to you or they will both get pow pows on their booties when I see them!

It’s not goodbye, its until we meet again Broomy girl, mama and daddy love you so much.

I just wanna take a moment to reflect and appreciate….

I am forever thankful that we decided to adopt an older dog from a rescue. Sancho Panza aka Tator Tot aka Tiny has been the best addition to our family. We had no idea what was missing from our lives until we got him.

He has brought so much joy and tears at times with how cute and silly he is. Idk why people slander the chihuahua breed as they do because I will never NOT live without a chihuahua in my house from here on out.

Thanks to @chihuahuarescuesandiegocounty for hooking us up with his amazing foster Julie! And thanks to Julie for letting us take him the day we met him bc we both saw how much she loved him and wanted to foster fail him 🤣.

We may never have children of our own but by golly if someone tries to tell me I didn’t birth this beautiful boy, it’s on sight! 🥊

God bless little dogs, especially ones named Sancho Panza!❤️

Lemme tell you whet….

It’s not every day you find such a great group of people to call friends in the military! (I’m lucky to find them all the time 😘) But when I say i knew we were meant to be friends after a night of dressing up for a murder mystery and singing Disney karaoke, I just knew.

@gronkybear and Beau you guys truly know how to have a good time and are 10/10 hostesses when it comes to throwing a shindig! You both will be missed terribly but I don’t think as bad as the boys are gonna miss their third musketeer!

I’m so grateful my husband found a friend that pushed him to step outside of his comfort zone. Alex’s confidence has skyrocketed and he is practically fearless when it comes to speaking up and keeping up with the conversation. Wouldn’t have happened without ya Beausuf. Thanks again.

And to Erica, you are a WHIRLWIND GIRL! You had this East Coast girl flabbergasted at times with how outgoing and personable you are. And that’s saying something cause I thought I was the life of the party but you got me beat! And I was so thankful to be able to take a break from time to time and just let you work your magic when we were out and about. You always had a fun idea or dinner ready to go and I loved just being able to tag along! @corie.butler.5 and I have no idea what we are going to do with ourselves now that your half way across the world but I know I will definitely keep in touch and this isn’t goodbye it’s just see ya later!!!

Appetizers:
•Kousa - (not pictured) Market zucchini, lamb, harissa, pine nut, golden raisins, cracked wheat, tzatziki, mint, dill and toasted seeds. // DELICIOUS 🤤
•Salanova Salad - (Slide 3) Market lettuce, crispy prosciutto, croutons, Parmesan, anchovies and orange. // FANTASTIC 👏🏽
Entrees:
•Roasted Duck - (the main attraction) 15 day dry aged, wet brine, cold smoked served w/ roasted pear and frisée. //UNGODLY 😭
•Oxtail Ragu & Pappardelle - (Slide 4) soffrito, red wine, parmigiano reggiano. // OM NOM NOM 👏🏽
•Pesto & Young Potato Pizza - (Last slide) Herbed cream, ricotta, lemon, shallot and pine nut crunch. // SLAP YA MAMA GOOD 😱
Dessert: We were too full 😓

Cuisine: Italian
Vibes: Mom and Pop
Appetizers:
•Focaccia w/ whipped ricotta in olive oil and balsamic (on the house and to die for)
•Tricolore salad (kale/brussels sprouts/cabbage/chili/candied walnuts/mustard dressing)((interesting))
•Fig bread bruschetta with prosciutto and stracciatella (the touch of fig flavor in the bread was fantastic)
Entrees:
•Bottoni (prosciutto and potato filled ravioli/parmesan sauce/green peas/ fried prosciutto topping)((needed a little more salt))
•Gemelli w/ spicy arrabbiata sauce and crispy soppressatta topping (not pictured but enjoyed thoroughly)
Dessert:
•Passion Fruit Panna Cotta and limoncello (so good)

Vibes: Laid back
Entrees:
•Rodeo Burger- Bacon, pickles, American cheese and original spread
•Flamin’ Smash- Jalapeños, pickles, American cheese and chipotle spread
•Fresh cut tallow fries with minced garlic
(Everything was so freaking delicious but we’ve had better 😉)
