HAPPY BDAY TO ME 🤍 (a day late) lol.I'm glad I was physically able to get out and do stuff as I couldn't last year.A little life update : it's been about a year and a half since my transplant surgery and there's not one day where I don't think to myself "what the f*ck did I sign up for?" I basically traded hereditary pancreatitis for diabetes. It didn't work in my favor as my islet cells didn't all survive. There's nothing that could've physically and mentally prepared me for my new life. At times I regret it, but there's no going back. Having to adjust to a new life overnight has been extremely difficult because every day is different. Taking meds with every meal for the rest of my life sucks and insulin stinks sometimes 😂.. ew.I had zero control over my life for the last few years as it revolved around my illness and it's time I take control again. I don't think anyone will ever truly understand how discouraging life is after having an unsuccessful transplant surgery unless they go through it. I'm traumatized as f*ck lol.
