Send this to your big wave surfer friend who’s too busy chasing waves to keep up with social media 🌊

You don’t have to surf a 30-metre wave to apply.
But you should be someone who regularly pushes yourself into bigger waves, takes on challenges and isn’t afraid to step outside your comfort zone.

Here’s what I’d love to see from you:

1. Your biggest wave / gnarliest wipeout
Send me a clip of one of the biggest or most memorable waves you’ve surfed, or your gnarliest wipeout.

2. Your story
Tell me why you started surfing bigger waves and what keeps pushing you to take on more.

3. Your travels & next adventure
Tell me where you’re currently based, where your surfing has taken you, and whether you’re planning any trips to Nazaré or other big-wave spots around Europe.

You don’t need to be surfing 30-metre waves. What matters is that you’re pushing your limits and chasing bigger waves!

DEADLINE

Send everything to me by October 20th.

After October 20th, I’ll invite 3 surfers to a call so we can get to know each other better and see if we’re a good match.

I’ll make the final decision by November 1st.

He told me that it looked great from the outside, but inside it was pure chaos: unpredictable currents and no place to escape. I said it looked kind of mellow and he just looked at me like I was crazy and said it wasn’t mellow at all.
It happens in the ocean as well as in life.
Sometimes something looks like the perfect wave…
just until you paddle out and realize it’s pure chaos.
So don’t worry if something didn’t work out.
Not every wave is meant to be yours.

People from the video that I accidentally made at the surf lesson, were successfully rescued. Few seconds later I just heard a laud scream “help” and saw my instructor and other surfers rushing to help them. It was the beginning of my surf journey and I was so scared myself even though I wasn’t drowning. Even till this day when I’m walking on the beach and I see people close to the rips, I always warn them… by @xkeylee
