Two Girls One Tweezer @dottedlinela

A curation of two queers and a dream of inclusion and disillusion of virality as a medium. Not only was this a fun night but a beautiful display of artistry blending music, textiles,digital media, found and mixed media.

So fun to be a part of a growing community of artists around @dottedlinela just a piece of the fun for this post as there were so many things to absorb from the installations to the dedication of a 5 hour locked together performance linking the duo for the night right into the live dj performance. by @xmanthatguy

Editing my most viral campaign again cuz Lightroom decided to be evil. This is essentially how I like to approach brown skin while achieving consistent tone through my color grade.

Unless it’s a creative choice I think most people can over complicate grading brown skin. The more you do it and make it the defining characteristic of the photo you will start to see cyans and magentas are a compliment while reds will add/strip contrast from certain darker skin tones.

Eyeshadow and makeup tutorials are a great color theory for editing brown skin because it is the same principle. If you’re interested maybe I can go deeper on this

Don’t fake till you make it, let’s do it till it’s true. Photography/creator career aside there are times when you need to treat a new skill like a newborn. Plenty of encouragement, no bad mistakes just doing the thing.

Especially in the creator economy it feels like every passion needs to be turned into some project for monetizing. All good and well till you’re burnt out not knowing why you started the thing in the first place.

This is a smaller chop from my Substack that I’m working on about navigating the world with the lens of art and philosophy. Learning how to feel the value rather than creating value, although I would touch on tips on getting yourself/art out there
