Nicole Brigitte de Veyra Parayno, I thought I’d be prepared for the moment; in fact I actually prepped quite a bit. Planned out what to say, where I’m going to do it, how I’m going to do it. I felt sure of how this would play out.
But as much preparation as you do, nothing can compare to the moment. From the moment I opened my mouth, I barely knew what I was saying. I had a guideline of what I wanted to say, and as much as I practiced it, I still fumbled through it. The words escaped me, and I had to fight hard to remember. I felt like I was mumbling but just hoping that you’d be able to understand all the energy and intention I was sending you, even if I didn’t make any sense.
And the moment I knelt down to give you the ring, my whole world shifted. Like a filter had been lifted. A new phase. Like we just discovered the next level in a game we thought we finished. I really did not expect that. As long as we’ve been together, I expected it to be a beautiful, but sure moment. Like many of the beautiful moments we’ve had together, just all the more meaningful. Like an ending to a good movie that you knew was coming.
But my world changed. What I thought was an occasion to cap, make official, and finalize us as a pair was just the opposite. There was no feeling of finality.
It felt like experiencing infinity.
Like the opportunities for everything we want to do in life just expanded tenfold. Like unlocking the next step and discovering there’s so much more in life that we get to experience together.
It’s absolutely surreal.
I can’t say that I’m excited to spend my life with you. I feel like we’ve already been spending the majority of our life together.
I’m excited to spend forever with you.

WE TOOK HOME ANIMAL PLANET’S WORLD PUP CUP! 🏆🥇🙏🏽

I was both nervous and excited to finally watch the episode and see how we did, and maaaan… my cheeks were hurting from all the smiling!

You know, I was actually going to turn down the invitation to join the show. I was so nervous and anxious about things that hadn’t happened, and making up all these scenarios in my head that were likely not even going to happen. I was planning to say no because I was stressing myself out over the “what ifs”.

I even changed my routine the night before 🤦🏻‍♀️ I did a lot of crying lmao, but I’m grateful for Lovely’s comfort & Elmer’s support! 💙

I’m glad I got out of my comfort zone. Lovely never ceases to amaze me.

Today is the catch up day I NEEDED.

We’ve been so busy, from road trips to & from the bay, celebrating 4 family bdays in one day, crazy allergies and feeling sick with difficulty breathing that I had to go to urgent care, going to events & seeing familiar faces, meeting new people, aaaaand parties at seafood city???

Yeah. You should see the pile of MESS on my desk cus I had to leave some things unattended for a lil bit.

I actually barely slept last night but somehow today I’ve been able to do:

- my weekly journal ✍🏽
- contracts & bills due 💸
- getting back to emails 💬
- sharing some of the latest 📸
- cleaning!!! 🧹
- light cooking 👩🏻‍🍳
- editing photos

And there’s still more stuff I need done but that’s about all the adulting ima do for today… I think lol. Ima let the rest roll over to tomorrow 🤷🏻‍♀️

We spent six days in Vegas for work and play~

I spent three days at a pet professionals convention, getting out of my comfort zone there and re/connecting with some fellow peeps in the pet industry!

The rest of the time was spent as “Nicki & Elmer’s Joint Birthday Bridal Bach/Lorette Bash” ✨ where we kinda planned things last minute and just went with the flow, doing the things we wanted to do, but with some of our friends & family.

We do pretty much everything together already, and we shared a bridal shower & his birthday during the same event, so I loved that we got to create more memories by doing our Bach activities in the same fashion.

Thank you to everyone who came out to what they could, when they could, even if it was just to stop by to say hi. We didn’t get to see everyone that we wanted to, but I know we’ll see yall at the wedding!!
