Oh, my sweet girl. My strong girl. It’s been such a long fight, and you’ve been through way too much in your life. If I ever had the chance to be reincarnated, I’d come back into this life as your mother, so I could love you and care for you in the way that you have loved and cared for me. This is truly the GREATEST LOVE I have ever known. And I really don’t know where I’d be in this world today without you. I hope you know you did a GREAT f*cking job! And I have no clue how you raised all of us and gave us everything we could’ve ever asked for (& more), but I am forever grateful for you. I know we saw this coming, but this is a feeling I could have never prepared for. I cannot believe I’m never going to see you again!! I am heartbroken. But I’m glad you’re okay and no longer in pain. Truly a moment that will change me forever. 💔
When I thought about all the pivotal moments in my life, I don’t think I ever thought this would be one of them. And no matter how much we all know that our time here is temporary, nothing ever prepares you for losing someone you’ve loved your ENTIRE life.

Our time together goes beyond just the memories. My grandmother was my foundation and her love molded me into the person I am today. And now I have to learn what it means to carry that love even tho she’s not here with me.

The last few months of loss have already changed me in so many ways, but this loss feels so different. I don’t really understand or know what to do with this kind of grief. So I don’t even have a profound lesson or inspiring message to give you guys with this one.

I just know I love my granny, and this life will never be the same without her.

Always grateful for the opportunity to step into a room, support the vision, and help carry it through to execution. A little behind the scenes of bringing the GPII Foundation’s Draft Day event to life.
