Last Sunday I said my final goodbye to my FAVORITEST HOMEGIRL💛! 25 & a half years definitely wasn’t long enough for us to spend together mom. & I’ll miss you more and more as each day goes on. Not being able to visit you show you pics of everyone as we’re growing from the kids you knew them as. Shaking my lil booty for you to get you to crack a smile. Spending one on one time with me just wanting to be close to you and hold your hand. No our relationship hasn’t always been the best but I will say this was my most favorite relationship. Especially before you got sick 💔 talking multiple times a day gave me more than you could ever imagine and took me so long to realize but I am eternally grateful. I could go on and on about our relationship but I think some things I just wanna keep wrapped up and tucked away just for me (at least for now). Ms. Gurl, Ms. Lawes, Big Boat, MOMMY I love you immensely, it was my greatest honor for us to give you the send off you truly deserved. With all the love in my heart 💛, Anu by @xo.nu

To say this past week has only been hard is such a drastic understatement. The amount of people that have checked on me has been incredible & to say I’m so grateful is an understatement. I wasn’t able to fully process the extent of everything until yesterday & it really hit me like a truck! The changes that need to be made are so critical. MSU, East Lansing hasn’t only been my safe haven but a safe haven to so many others! The countless nights that I’ve spent wondering thoughtlessly…. The amount of classes I’ve taken & still have to take because I took a year off to take care of my mom & the fact that I’m planning on going back is recking my anxiety rn. Ik by the time the fall comes I won’t feel as heavy but all this is really unimaginable to me. We’re such a larger community but that night we seemed so small. My heart is aching for the families & friends of the victims, as well as for those who were on campus & even the people like me who weren’t as close but still as scared & worried. Getting back to who we were won’t be easy but ik we can all do it together. Grace goes a long way 💚🫶🏾
