Cheyenne reporting live, the owner of Crownedbychey (shy). I realized I’ve never formally introduced myself, so here’s a little about my journey!

My love for hair started young—doing my own, practicing on Barbies, sitting on bathroom sinks in the mirror and binge-watching YouTube tutorials. But I never imagined doing hair for others, especially not full time. In 2018, while in university, working part-time, and making YouTube videos, I started reviewing bundles. Going to a stylist was pricey, so I taught myself lace installs in order to save money as a broke college student. My aunt convinced me this was my calling, and I started making wigs—just pickups at first, then installs after practicing on family and friends.

I started in my aunts kitchen with just a few tools in a Ziploc bag, and a lot of trial and error… now we’re here, and Crownedbychey is turning 7 years old this August! I’m beyond grateful for every client who trusts me with their hair and personal experiences because a hair appointment is more than just styling but a connection. More growth, skills, and elevated services are coming. Let’s do this!
