The last month of my life was unimaginable. I never imagined I’d be walking in the shoes I have no choice to wear. If anything, there were days that I wish I didn’t have to walk at all.
But, I’m thankful for my tribe, my community, my family, and God. I’m blessed to be a mother, a daughter, a friend, a sister, and so much more.
Pouring into each of the hats I wear while pouring back into myself has helped me to stay grounded, and refocus.
Recommitting my life to Christ was something I knew I always wanted to do, but felt shame - for some reason - about. However, Romans 8:1-2 says “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death (NLT).”

So here’s to an unapologetic new start.
