Something that most people know about me is that my nana is the most important person in my life. She’s sharp as a tack, funny, witty, kind hearted, a fashion icon, and a God fearing woman. I’d say most of my better traits come from her. She’s been “nana” to almost every friend I’ve had from elementary school to even graduating law school and moving to Louisville. She never had a cross word for anyone, and always made sure I knew I was loved unconditionally. She’s not been doing well for the last few months, and this afternoon she has passed on to a place where I know she’ll be peaceful, where she’s devoted her whole life to going. I’ve got a lot of big feelings right now, but it all comes down to knowing how much she loved me and how much I loved her.
