When the clock struck midnight, I said to myself “I’m still alive” ! I remember thinking 41 was so old, when Mommy died I was 21 she was 41 and 20 additional years to me seemed like such a longgggggggg time but now I realize how young she really was. I’ve realized that after I turned 40 my life had really just started, as if a new version of myself was activated. And it makes me sad to know that she never got to live out her full potential because of her drug addiction. I’ve changed my mindset about 41, baby I’m just getting started! I have so much to do , so much to live for!!!! Thank you LORD for another year around the sun!!!!! This is 40 plus ONE! 💇🏽‍♀️🙌🏽👑💕🍾🧘🏾‍♀️✨

College tours with my baby gurllllllll! WSSU and NC A&T this time. Walking these campuses as the mom I needed. I’m a first generation college grad with an MBA, and I’m so thankful for the childhood I had to survive to become who I am. What I lived through could have broken others… it built me. Now I get to show my kids what’s possible, and that they never have to do it alone, it’s been a real emotional couple of days 🥹💫🫶🏽 by @xomeka
