Currently reading: My Roommate is Trying to Kill Me by Maya-Gawonii Shabazz-Saleh
MM horror (thriller maybe?) romance, with just the right dash of comedy in between. I’m about 80% into this one and have been enjoying it. Full review to come once I’m done.

Thank you to the author and @rattlethestarspr for the ARC.

You miss all the shots you don’t shoot ✨✨

Months ago I was hesitant to start this account. Fear of flopping, of sounding dumb or boring, of just putting myself out there 😰 But I’m glad I took the leap. I enjoy sharing what I’m reading, how it makes me feel, what I want to read next. I love seeing what everyone else is reading. And I’ve come across some lovely people along the way, (along with adding SO many more books to my TBR because of them). So here’s your sign, make the account, post whatever you want to post about, just do it because it makes you happy. 💖✨✨

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month my friends!
*THERE IS NO AI IN THIS POST*

Representation is so incredibly vital to keeping book spaces a safe place. I adore when I read of a character that resembles me in some way or a character with cultural similarities. We want to honor and celebrate the books and authors that made that possible.

I’m so excited to have collaborated with some awesome Latine creators! If you like awesome book recs, be sure to give them a follow!

Just a reminder to do what you want, take the chance, be happy. 💖 Sometimes the plan doesn’t work, but that’s not failure, we just stop, regroup, and keep moving. You got this!!

Between books I bought and been gifted this past month my physical TBR has grown so much (not that that’s a bad thing). Here’s a few books I bought.

Books:
Death Card - Jasmine Smith
Lilac - B. B. Reid
Open Veins of Latin America - Eduardo Galeano
Recommend by @ysaleftyouonread

Preordered the @night_worms October box that includes:
Something Followed Us Home: Tales of Latine Horror - Cynthia Pelayo
Rooted - Leopoldo Gout

Even while on vacation you know I have to hit a bookstore up. While in Puerto Rico I stopped by @thebookmarkpr in Hatillo. You already know I walked away with some books. 😌

When you’re not feeling so great and having a blah day, a trip to Barnes and Noble can help 😌 My recent purchases from Saturday. Does a bookstore trip help make things better for you?
