The cenote held me like an old memory. 🌿💧A moment outside of time — where the water knows your name, and the jungle speaks in stillness. This is what it means to return to source. To remember. To breathe.

An invitation to remember our kinship with water. We are water. In times of moving currents, water invites us to heal as it heals. A mirror for continual understanding, education, care, inspired action, communion, nourishment. How do we begin to nourish what has always nourished us? Everything is an open invitation guiding us to mutual respect. What and how do we offer to water as it sustains every part of our being•ness? As it holds us, bathes us, cleanses us…where the scales have tipped it asks for us to remember. We need to nourish & care for all that nourishes & cares for us. This is the sacred dance we can only humbly hope to facilitate while we are here.🌏💧🌀

Okay but can we take a moment for this photo?!✨Seeing Villanueva Muse styled this beautifully stopped me in my tracks. From the layering to the tiny details to the warmth of the entire image. You made these pieces completely your own, and that is always the most beautiful part.

And then to receive words like these alongside it…🥹There’s something incredibly special about creating and curating pieces, sending them off, and eventually getting a little glimpse into the life they’ve found on the other side.

Thank you for taking the time to photograph them so beautifully, for noticing the care behind the details and packaging, and for sharing such thoughtful words about your experience. Every photo, review, tag, message and story shared reminds me that Villanueva Muse is becoming more than the pieces themselves. Every time I walk the city, I’m not just passing through — I’m absorbing the textures of old buildings, the rhythm of strangers, the details no one notices…With a background in product and style development, my eyes are trained to see what could be —Inspiration in movement, color, architecture, and muses. Every step, every corner, becomes a spark for what I create next.

Maybe you know the feeling. That little pull toward somewhere you can’t quite explain. A place you keep thinking about. A trip you keep postponing. A change you keep telling yourself you’re not ready for.

Sometimes we need to step away from everything comfortable, not because our life is wrong, but because we can’t always hear ourselves clearly inside of what we already know. There’s something about getting back to the elements that brings us back to ourselves. Water. Earth. Mountains. Air. Fire. Open sky. Movement. Stillness.

Maybe that’s why we’re drawn to certain places again and again. And maybe the places we feel called to aren’t always asking us to escape. Maybe they’re asking us to reconnect.
So if you’ve been feeling that nudge lately, pay attention. Follow the breadcrumbs. Even if they lead somewhere unfamiliar. Even if they scare you a little. Especially then.

Thank you @jennaececelia for writing the original poem that’s inspired so many to write their own version🕊 What a cathartic experience dropping into this moment. What would you say to your younger self?🐛🦋

My version took me right back to that moment in my 20s when I JUST KNEW I wanted more for myself…

I met my younger self for coffee
She came on time &
ready to hear what I have to say
She had her nursing school books with her
& her dance clothes in her gym bag

I told her she was about to make 1 of the
scariest moves moving across the country
She looked at me in tears because
she feels like she went on a path
that wasn’t really hers
I told her she’s going to live there for 10 years
& she won’t ever be the same
She continued to sob in disbelief because
she can only see where she still was
I told her to buckle up & to wipe away her tears
She took a deep breath waiting for more advice

I held her hands & looked at her in the eyes
She looked away because
she didn’t know how to receive so much love yet
I told her to look at me
She started to tear up again
I told her she’s going to keep flying high but
her definition of flying high will change
She looked at me with hope for the very first time

I hugged her tightly
She hugged me right back
I told her when she gets tired she needs to look at how far she’s come & to trust her intuition
She said she will always look back
& trust her intuition

We parted ways
I smiled as I walked out of the coffee shop with confidence
She smiled right back watching me walk out with confidence

We’ve learned how to perform —for the algorithm, for approval, for survival. We’ve made external validation the standard, while our inner world quietly aches for attention.

We scroll to stay relevant, but forget to stay rooted.

This carousel is a love note to your becoming. To the grief of shedding what no longer fits. To the soft, slow work of remembering yourself beneath the noise, the pressure, the masks.

Because blooming isn’t always pretty —sometimes it feels like falling apart. But that doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re becoming more true.
