Messed around with Lightroom’s before-and-after feature last evening and ended up creating a pretty unique idea.

When I was in first grade, I found out I was colorblind. I was diagnosed with Protanopia, a form of colorblindness where I can’t perceive red light due to a lack of functioning red cone cells. Because of that, any color containing red (purple, pink, orange, or even brown) has always looked different to me.

After three full years of photography, I think I’ve finally learned how to work with that challenge instead of against it. I’ve found a style that feels like my own, one that turns the way I see color into something creative. These are some of my presets; some I’ve built from scratch, others I’ve borrowed.

It’s been a long process of learning how to see the world in my own way, but that’s what makes photography so special to me. Every edit, every tone, every frame is a reminder that even when you see things differently, you can still create something amazing.

A few weeks back our chapter hosted their annual Shave 2 Save event as well as various other events to support our philanthropy. We are ecstatic to announce that we raised a total of $2,733 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma foundation.

Additional shout out to the 4 brothers that shaved their heads for the cause.

Congrats to Chris Zengen and the rest of the team as well as the numerous amounts of donations received from the many friends, families, and sponsors. It wouldn’t be possible without you.
