Have the courage to dream big, and the perseverance to follow them to the end ✨

Thanks to @take_initiative_leuphana, the @leuphana_zentralgebaeude, the @hochschulsport_leuphana, the stunning moderation by @kiras_mindset, our incredible dance team and many many amazing people, we managed (with lots of endurance and joy) to produce this truly unique collaborative dance production!

A year ago, this was a faraway dream - a mere spark of passion. On the 18th of June it became a bright burning fire on stage spreading warmth and carrying a message to our audience: "let us learn to live with our differences and to complement each other".

XpressiveDance is a group of diverse dancers, coming from different styles and levels of experience. Our vision was to live what we preach, by bringing together our versatile expertise, empowering each other and to leave no one behind.
It makes us incredibly proud to see what we achieved and how many hearts were touched - including our own.

Inspired by and giving back to @dancingforrhinos 🤍

Es ist endlich soweit! ✨

It’s finally happening! ✨
After months of choreographing, networking, rehearsing, and developing, XpressiveDance will take the stage on June 18th at the Auditorium.
What started as a small idea has grown into a large, experimental project, where many creative minds have come together to create a fascinating dance production.
With Take Initiative! by our side, we’ve taken the initiative (😉) and are now looking forward to the performance with great excitement. 🎉
Our production is something truly special: it brings together the talents and styles of a diverse group of people. Our dancers come from a wide range of dance backgrounds and have different levels of experience. We’ve taught each other what we do best – truly embodying the message we want to share through our piece:
“Break Free” – a dance-based exploration of society and the role of the individual within the collective. It’s a story we can all relate to in one way or another. 💫
We warmly invite you to join us and experience this exciting evening with us! taken in Leuphana Universität Lüneburg by @xpressivedance

Our society is like a frame — one either fits in or doesn't. It feels almost suffocating, like claustrophobia creeping in. A box so tight, that one is forced to squeeze themselve into its confines, just to be seen, to belong to some idealized minority. But what one truly need is room to breathe, space to unfold into the beauty of one's own individuality.

Individuality - the essence of our project. How do we come together as different people? How can we be stronger through our individualism? What do you think?

We are a bunch of students and will explore this theme with all it's challenges and opportunities 🥰 You want to join us? No problem, registration is open until November 18th 😉
