I have no cute medal pics, so we’ll celebrate #MedalMonday with some fun stats. I love numbers so I decided I’ll show you a few of my favorite ones from yesterday. I didn’t realize until this morning that I negative split the race. That is mind boggling to me since my first 4 marathons were insane positive splits, and I hit the wall so hard each time. Although I struggled a little in Miles 23-25, Mile 26 was faster than 20 of my miles, and that last half mile was my fastest of the day. And today, my legs are sore, but not terrible. Which is also different than the last 4 marathons. I’m just so happy with how everything went, and I want to remember this feeling forever. Typing it in this little box will help me do just that. Consistency and hard work pays off. It takes a lot of time and patience, but wow. Truth be told - I’ve been hard on myself the past few months because I haven’t felt like I’ve been able to control my eating. All of my clothes have been tight, and it’s just been discouraging. I didn’t want it to negatively affect my performance. I nailed every single workout, and went to tons of strength training classes so that this year I could surpass my goal and feel strong. I didn’t want my relationship to food be the thing that brought me down. Looking back on it- maybe my body just needed more food because of the working out I was doing. I could have 100% picked better foods, but at least I was fueling my body. I guess what I’m trying to say here is… try not to be so hard on yourself. Control what you can control-put your head down, and grind. It’ll all work out for you if you just keep at it. Sorry if that was a bit of a ramble, but if it helps one person - it’s worth it. Keep going. Finish strong. You’ve got this. Because the feeling of accomplishment- doing something you never thought was possible- it’s the best feeling in the world. And I’m just getting started. 💪🏼 by @xregann

@xregann and @awastshi thank you for stopping by on your run 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️💀 by @xregann
One of the best parts of my marathon last year was listening to all the voice notes my family and friends left for me! Here’s one of Tanner’s notes from last year that made me cry at Mile 17 when things were starting to get hard. These messages mean more than you know. Thank you @runwithrally for creating the best app for marathon runners! by @xregann
Meet our Member of the Month, Regann 👏 The 5:30 AM class fits perfectly into her schedule, and she shows up ready to work every single time 💯 Consistent, determined, and always up for a challenge, Regann thrives during Peak Week and never backs down from pushing herself a little further 🏁 She’s built a routine she loves and brings great energy to our early morning crew 🤝 We’re grateful to have her as part of the pack and proud of the work she continues to put in day after day. Congratulations, Regann! 🐺💪 by @xregann
This is 38. 🍦✨💙 (Not at all the weekend I had planned, but still made the best of it!) 🌧️ 🌈 by @xregann
Ran a 5k “for fun” in non-carbon plated shoes & a large cotton t-shirt & placed 2nd female overall!!! 🏃🏼‍♀️💪🏼. Also, my first mile was my fastest mile ever 🤯, third fastest 5k and placed 34th out of 684. Back to marathon training tomorrow. 🫡 by @xregann
My grandma passed away over 20 years ago, and when she did - I inherited one of her toiletry bags. It’s bright yellow, and not the cutest- but it’s the only bag I’ve ever used when going anywhere. Whether it was just overnight, for a week vacation, or every single day I brought stuff to work to change after running - I used the bag. Recently I’ve noticed it started to have a few littles holes and of course it’s a little stained. I follow this awesome woman on Instagram who owns the company The Timeless Threadz, and I decided I wanted to make the bag into a keepsake. Then I realized I should also make sure my mom and sister got a piece. And the finished product is more perfect than I could have imagined. Three simple yellow hearts- one on each shirt, and I added my grandma’s name to the sleeve of mine. If you know me, you know I can’t resist a sweatshirt so it’s absolutely perfect in every way. I wanted to wait until my grandma’s birthday (September 12th) to give it to my mom - but I’m just too impatient. Thank you @thetimelessthreadz for creating such a beautiful way to keep a piece of my grandma with me for many more years to come. 💛💛💛 The shirts with the remainder of the bag. 💛 Also, shoutout to @lesportsac for making bags that last 30 years. Grandma Flo with almost all of her grandkids. 💛 by @xregann
Closing summer out with another 12 ice cream shops knocked off the @njdotcom Top Ice Cream Spots in NJ List. That brings my grand total to 36 out of 83. Hoping to get halfway by the end of the year. 🍦 My favorite flavor this time around was definitely Pillow Fight @woohoolbi - vanilla with marshmallow, rainbow sprinkles & Oreo. I love being able to hit some spots up with Tanner, and I even got Gary and Nathan to join me each one time. The spots keep getting further from home so these trips are really going to turn into complete ice cream adventures, and I’m here for it. by @xregann
