SUB-10 SECOND GR YARIS AT SANTA POD RACEWAY! 🔥

UK @stealthwhitegr and his seriously built Toyota GR Yaris headed to Santa Pod for a series of testing runs. The result? 9.945 seconds over the quarter mile with tiny three-cylinder!

The completely modified G16-E GTS engine is a true gem, completely rebuilt by @ignite.automotive.uk . To handle this level of performance, a 7-speed 1200Nm X-Shift gearbox was selected, featuring a modified input shaft with an auxiliary pinion spigot for the TTV Racing clutch. Combined with a full-billet transfer case, this setup is capable of handling such high power output without issue.

The gearbox setup is complemented by both a carbon gear lever and a complete paddle-shift system from MME. All of this played a role in bringing the time down to under 10 seconds. Yet, this was only testing! We look forward to further increasing the speed of this machine, which holds great potential.🚦

@tknf_evo purchased this evo off a previous customer and brought it by for some major upgrades to take the car to the next level! He gave us a list of goals and he listened to all our advice and the results speak for themselves!

During the 2026 season, X Shift introduced an innovation in basic LED displays, which are an indispensable addition to any sequential gearbox. Reliability and display speed have been improved, and smart features have been added.

The display is manufactured from carbon-fibre reinforced plastic, making it highly resistant to heat, UV exposure, vibration and dust. The smoked glass design ensures inconspicuousness in the interior and the revised PCB ensures maximum reliability of operation in all racing modes. Exactly what you expect from a component designed for serious motorsport use!

⚡ Contactless magnetic programming - programming without a special wiring harness/button
