Move over Carrie Bradshaw➡️ there’s a new columnist in town❣️
This year I wrote 3 articles for the InBoston Magazine and 2 of them are in the Fall/Christmas Issue.
One is a write-up of the @BostonScally Fall Festival to benefit the @LightFoundation and the other is a travel piece on my trip to Provincetown during Carnival. The link is in my bio for this latest issue!

So special to be part of the All Star Alumni dance number at the 14th Annual Dancing With the Waltham Stars and my 8th year participating in a fundraiser that means so much to me and our community! 💃🪩

Our biggest alumni group yet, with so many of the next generation joining us this year. Such a beautiful reminder that this tradition of giving back will continue for years to come.

This year was extra meaningful as we wore purple in memory of our fellow alumni dancer Wendy💜 and greatly missed Yolanda🤍, one of our biggest supporters who was always front row cheering us on. We made sure she still had the best seat in the house, with her special chair and one of her fabulous headpieces in her honor.

So proud to be part of this amazing DWTWStars family!

It’s the 14th season and, once again, Friday night’s show is officially SOLD OUT — 500 tickets gone! 🎉

Last night, while the loss of Yolanda is still so fresh, so many people came together for the 7th Annual Our Girl Linda Fundraiser, supporting a cause that was so close to her heart🤍

What began as a beautiful way to honor her daughter Linda became even more meaningful this year as we also celebrated Yolanda’s incredible life and the legacy she leaves behind.

So special to see a room filled with support and generosity, continuing their mission and raising funds for the Our Girl Foundation, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Today I said goodbye to a true fashion icon and legend, but to me, someone I feel so lucky to have known, loved and called my friend.

Growing up, I knew Yolanda as the incredible businesswoman everyone knew and went to for beautiful gowns. Never in a million years did I think I would someday know her personally.

I first came to know Yolanda when I competed in Dancing with the Waltham Stars, one of her favorite fundraisers. She had the cast on her Style and Glamour TV show to promote the event, and I’ll never forget walking into her studio and hearing her greet me by name. I remember thinking, Yolanda knows MY name?!

What started with that first appearance turned into five times being lucky enough to appear on her show and, even better, a friendship I’ll always treasure. She never made me feel like she was above me. She made me feel special and always supported me.

Yolanda even saw something in me before I saw it in myself. When I talked to her about featuring @mel_the_clothing designs on her show, she said yes, but insisted I model alongside of Mel’s models. I had never modeled before, but Yolanda saw something in me that I hadn’t yet seen in myself. Looking back, it means so much knowing she was part of where that journey began.

I was also honored to attend her 90th birthday celebration and write about it for the Fall 2024 issue of @inboston_magazine , and to see her receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the @bostonfashionicon awards, never knowing I’d join its board six months later feels full-circle now.

And then there are the clothes. As a girl who grew up wearing hand-me-downs, some of my most treasured pieces are now hand-me-downs from Yolanda herself. I’ve worn them proudly, especially the gorgeous gold sparkly gown I wore to several events including the opening of her fashion exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum.

Those clothes aren’t just clothes anymore. They’re memories of her.

Rest beautifully, Yolanda. Thank you for knowing my name, believing in me, cheering me on and making this girl who grew up in hand-me-downs so proud to wear yours.

One year later, and this memory still makes me smile. 🤍

I’ve always loved love, and it was such an honor to witness two wonderful friends begin their forever. Looking back at this day reminds me how beautiful it is to celebrate the people we care about and the moments that matter most.

Days like this remind me why I’ll always believe in love. ✨

What an incredible evening at Meet the Icons!

I was honored to co-host this special event celebrating our 2025 Boston Fashion Icons Award honorees and recognizing the legends whose contributions have helped shape Boston’s fashion community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to hear their inspiring stories and celebrate the creativity, talent, and passion that make our city’s fashion scene so special.

A heartfelt thank you to Vintage Restaurant for once again opening their doors and supporting the creative community. We are so grateful for their continued partnership and commitment to bringing people together.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event. We hope to see you all again this November at the Boston Fashion Icons Awards as we continue honoring Boston’s fashion icons and inspiring the next generation.
