a simple menu for the best dwaeji gukbap i’ve had 🧑‍🍳

it was the most heartwarming meal and it’s well known for a reason. the busan style pork bone broth tastes so rich and they do not skimp out on the meat AT ALL ‼️ they make sure there’s enough banchan to add additional flavor profiles too

📍 @busanjeong.seattle
capitol hill, seattle

the craziest part is how efficient they work. the wait might seem long but it goes by super quickly

i definitely would recommend getting the mandus as well bc they were absolutely amazing 🥟 dreaming about this meal while in sf because it’s been so chilly

this place makes you FEEL like you’re eating poke from hawaii 😝 good thing i didn’t go to school at uc davis bc i would’ve just eaten here everyday

good friends hawaiian poke absolutely blew our minds with the quality of fish, amount of food, and even the cost. they’re top rated on yelp for a reason and i dream about having these wonton chips everyday 🥲

they have a huge variety of flavors you can choose from and i promise you’ll want to eat all of them

💌 if you’re ever around the area, you definitely do not want to skip this place

made these cooking videos bc it was so fun and then never got to editing them but here’s a quick & easy meal i like 2 make 👩‍🍳

my bff is in law school so she spends most of her time studying and on occasion i try to cook for her bc i have more time on my hands😋 this time we had pesto pasta since i had leftover basil from a dinner party

my favorite thing about homemade pesto is that the basil is so much more fragrant. it’s easier than you think so dont knock it out your capabilities just yet!

i didn’t film adding salt & pepper 🧂 so be sure to season the pasta to your likings. i usually add chicken but i didn’t have any on this day 🥲

one of my hits at my apartment cafe that i recently hosted 😋

so proud of this drink because i feel like hojicha has always been super underrated. black sesame hojicha has been one of my favorite combinations ever and i finally was able to do it justice☺️☺️

a while back, when i hosted my first ever cafe in school, i had similarly made this drink. it was nowhere near as developed as this and im so happy i got to master this 🤓 paste is important but it also is just so much more delicious when you grind the sesame seeds yourself vs. the premade ones

ultimately the black sesame cold foam is what ties this drink together. the nuttiness from the black sesame seeps right into the hojicha and creates the perfect combination of flavors 😋

what i used —
- 4g hojicha
- 45g hot water (20g then 25g)
- 15g agave
- as much black sesame cold foam as your heart contents

what recipe do you want to see next 💌

if you love a creamy plain tart, you’re not gonna want to miss grabbing a cup from

📍foodhall
san francisco, ca

this is the creamiest plain tart i’ve ever had and the topping options are one of the best. i think im still a bigger fan of yuja but this was a great place to try too😋

san mateo has absolutely been killing it w/ their food scene!! this might’ve been the most awesome dinner we’ve had in a long time together and it was perfect for us to catch up in a private room

📍kodawari
san mateo, ca

the dishes at kodawari don’t just look beautiful… they taste absolutely amazing as well. the cuts of fish are thick and they are generous with every portion.

if you ever miss japan, this might be the closest experience you get🕊️ every dish was an absolute experience and i would highly recommend coming here for a girls night, date night, or whatever occasion there is to eat yummy food

💌thank you kodawari for having us

still dreaming about these insane crepes i had last weekend 💭

📍bon bon matcha
cupertino, ca

matcha in south bay is ALWAYS a hit and this new spot is definitely something you need to add to your list ✍️ we ordered their strawberry matcha and it is the most perfect balance of strawberry and matcha

the ceremonial grade matcha used makes a difference in their crepes, ice cream, and drink itself 🍵 i highly recommend grabbing a drink and if you have room for dessert, one of the crepes will HIT the sweet spot cravings

i loved that it wasn’t overly sweet so you could thoroughly enjoy each bite of the crepe
