First and foremost, I have to thank God. Everything I am, everything I’ve accomplished, and everything I am becoming is only because of His grace. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord… plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11.

McNeese has been more than a university to me — it has been a home, a training ground, and a turning point in my life. I walked onto this campus at 17 years old, scared, unsure, and trying to figure out what life would look like away from everything familiar. I never expected to find a community that would pour into me the way this one has, or friendships that feel more like family. Somehow, within all the chaos, all the late nights, all the lessons, and all the failures, I found people who saw me, supported me, believed in me, and grew with me. That is something I will forever hold close to my heart.🤞🏾

For every person who has crossed my path , whether you spoke life into me, challenged me, encouraged me, or simply showed up when I didn’t know how to keep going , thank you. 💛Thank you for being part of my world and for allowing me to be part of yours. You all made these years richer, fuller, and more meaningful than I could ever put into words.

Here’s to every closed door that redirected me, every blessing that found me, and every mountain I refused to bow to ; because this chapter didn’t break me; it built me.
