Dear Football,

Football where do I even begin… Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to be good enough and that’s when I ran to you. You’ve always been there for me. Through my darkest moments in life you were there for me. You gave me a purpose. And to have to say good bye to you like this. It’s just unforgiving. I’m leaving you on a broken promise that I will never be able to get back. That’s something that’s going to stay with me for the rest of my life. Thank you football for some of the most unforgettable years of my life.

And to my teammates.

Thank you guys for always believing in me. You all have a special place in my heart.

“Sometimes you gotta do things you never done before” - Gibby

This season was full of ups and downs, from being suspended for 50% of the season to placing at state. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my team pushing me and helping me in the room. This team was more than special to me. The hard work the blood, sweat and tears this team went through this year will be remembered forever. Thankyou to my teammates and coaches for believing in me and helping me accomplish this goal.

But I’m not done yet.

Thankyou Lord for giving me the ability to compete.

Don’t be sad it’s over, Be happy it happened.

To the Seniors, I will forever be grateful and thankful of the friendships and the memories we made. Thank you guys for pushing me to be the player I am today and for all of you being role models. You guys have helped me more than you could imagine and I’m proud of all of you guys and how far you guys have come. From strangers to family. Thank you Brothers.
