Psalm 119:1-16

I searched for love in all the wrong places,
and every time, I came back emptier than before.
I chased comfort in the night,
trying to fill my soul with liquor, smoke, and borrowed validation.
But the more I reached, the further peace slipped away.
When nothing worked,
I turned to Christ as a last resort—
not knowing He’d been waiting to be my first.
And when I finally surrendered,
He filled the void the world could never touch.
The joy I have now isn’t man-made;
the world didn’t give it,
so the world can’t take it away.
Yes, it hurts knowing some will only remember who I used to be—
but God has rewritten my story,
changed my name,
and breathed new life into my identity.
Giving my life to Christ
has been the greatest decision I’ve ever made.
And though I may stumble,
though I may slip,
I will never go back—
for I have found the One my soul was searching for all along.
