Been a minute since I restarted the feed. Will it be cohesive? Creative? Eye-catching?👀 Honestly, who knows? Not even sure if it’ll be on a consistent basis. But I know it’ll be genuine. If you’re new here, welcome :)

The ONE thing I’d recommend in Singapore is…

The Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay🌸☁️

A 2-acre conservatory featuring a vast variety of flowers, foliage, and decoration. From numerous orchids and anthuriums to interactive displays and beautiful sculptures. We were overcome with awe from the minute we stepped in!

The Cloud Forest features one of the world’s tallest indoor waterfalls at 30m high right from the start. You eventually work your way up to the top of an aerial walkway for a birds eye view of the entire garden.

This is also an amazing escape from the Singapore heat as the dome of climate controlled at a cool 23-25C (73-77F). Amazing when the outdoor temperature was pushing around a sweltering 35C (96F) during our visit🥵

Pictures simply don’t do the beauty of this garden justice. But hopefully it inspires you the visit some day🪷

To be completely honest with you guys…

I had no idea what to expect from Taiwan. But damn was I blown away from the plethora of life, character, and street food that was thrown at me.

Ruifang district for 30,000+ steps and 170 flights of stairs. Teapot Mountain, ocean side trail, and Jiufen Old Street for the craziest cardio workout of your life.

Visit Beitou Hot Spring Resort for an amazing private onsen experience. Comes with a free dessert and tea at the end to cap off your stay too!

Shifen Waterfall for one of the most picturesque scenes in the country. So many views the capture the natural beauty and great staff if you’d like the learn some history of the area!

Shifen Old Street to watch lanterns fly into the night sky. While we didn’t launch one ourselves, we were still mesmerized by the seemingly endless barrage that we witnessed.

Finally, hit up the street food and numerous restaurants! There are SO many to choose from. But a stand out was definitely Raohe Street Night Market. I can pretty much guarantee that this one will have something for you. Carts, stands, and stores literally surround you from end to end with food, drinks, merchandise, and even arcades. How can you not find something you like?

Tokyo pt. 2! Yokohama and Kamakura

Yamashita Park for one of the most beautiful flower gardens in the city and panoramic views of Yokohama🌹

井上商店 (Inoue Shoten) on Komachi Street for some of the most amazing tempura and udon. Definitely get the cold version if you go on a hot summer day🍜

Check out Hase-dera for flowing water and lush greenery. Visit the hall of Kannon (goddess of mercy) standing at 10m and the largest wooden statue in all of Japan. Don’t forget the small cave lined with carvings and offerings. Just watch your head!⚠️

Teishoku Mimatsu to kickstart your day with a heart breakfast. Grilled hamachi honestly never tasted so good. Opt for the mixed rice for a colorful and healthy option🥢

And what Japan trip is complete without checking out Tokyo Tower? A must-see just to appreciate one of the most iconic structures in the country🗼

Osaka!!

Tell me why the crowds in Osaka were crazier than the ones in Tokyo?? Oceans of people as far as the eye could see🌊 definitely wasn’t prepared for Dotonbori, though words could never describe just how hectic it really is

Check out Iwashi Tornado for some of the greatest ramen you’ll ever had! Will definitely be back for the everchanging menu🤙🏼 went for the ramen, stayed for Hase-san and her amazing personality

By the way, Donki on the 3rd floor for some… special products😬

Went out for sushi, was met with an impromptu throwback to my days in Vegas. Except with a spectrum of lights and jpop blasting in the background🎵

Kyoto⛩️Day 1 & 2

This city, without a doubt, has my heart. Probably my favorite in Japan so far. Everything was amazing from the people, to the food, the atmosphere, everything.

Definite standout was Arisu-san from Cafe Kotobuki. An amazing chef, even more amazing person. It was such a pleasure getting to talk to her and learn all about her approach to cooking and her inspiration for opening her restaurant.

Nishiki Market had everything we could ask for and more. I got my wish for wagashi over at Kofukudo. Check them out for traditional style treats and sweets!

Speaking of which, Karikari Hakase will be my go-to spot for takoyaki whenever I’m in Kyoto now. Hot, fresh, and as the name implies, nice and crispy.

And what would a Kyoto trip be without a visit to Fushimi Inari. Undoubtedly the best temple to visit with so much character and an unforgettable walk up the mountain. We clocked 69 flights of stairs and 29,000 steps this day🥲💪🏼

Other spots featured:
-Shoraku: handmade udon, soba, tempura, and donburi
-Kyoto Tori Paitan: chicken based ramen and infused vinegars
-Donguri: okonomiyaki and yakisoba
