Training hard also means learning when to slow down 🧖🏾‍♀️

Spent some time at @othership with @aftermiles resetting, recovering, and giving my body some much needed TLC 💗✨

Stop waiting for perfect conditions!

Last Sunday, I ran 15 miles in the midst of the Nor’easter 🙃 It was uncomfortable, challenging, and tedious.

But, I’m finding that these unglamorous moments are where the champion within me is built.

If there’s one lesson I’ve learned these past few months, it’s that greatness isn’t born in perfect conditions. It’s built by showing up anyway!🏃🏾‍♀️🌧️

30 DAYS TIL SHOWTIME 🏃🏾‍♀️ Tire Flip Tuesdays is easily one of my favorite fitness classes! It’s 60 minutes of going my absolute hardest with a group of ppl who are just as hungry to work hard 🏋🏾‍♀️ & having a funny + encouraging trainer who runs a strict program makes the class even better! taken in Harlem, New York by @yabundu

3 semesters down. 2 to go. 🩺

Stepping into this journey quietly has allowed me to be in a season of refining the woman I’m becoming. Throughout this past year, my discipline has been greatly tested. But by God’s grace, I’ve learned to balance working full time with early morning clinicals, late night study sessions, and everything life brings in between.

I’m grateful for how this journey is molding me not only into the nurse I hope to become, but into a woman who is more resilient, compassionate, and firmly rooted in her faith.

For the past year, I’ve kept this part of my life close. Now with 60% of the journey behind me, I’m excited to finally let you all into this chapter 🩷 taken in New York, New York by @yabundu
