Happy Thanksgiving! My way of celebrating is to go find colorful leaves. This year things are not so colorful. At least not yet. #autumnleaves🍂 #colourfultravels #octoberinontario #fallfoliage🍁 #seeingbeauty by @yabut818

I'm working on a fox with Ida Andersen Lang in the Year of Wild Natuture Taster Series. This is the watercolour pencil layer. I'm supposed to add pan pastels or eye shadow over it now. I'm not sure I have what's needed....or if I even want to. Ya, I know it's all about learning new techniques, but the course may vanish before I'm properly equipped. We'll see.... #watercolourpencils #yearofwildnature #idaandersenlang #learningnewthings #learningasigo by @yabut818

For the past nine days, I have been taking part in another of Barbara Baumann's mini Ink Challenges. Each day, she e-mailed a picture for us to draw in ink, with a 3 minute time limit. We could add gold afterwards, but I think many of these would have looked better without it. Some might be fun to redo without a time limit. What should I tackle? #miniink #3colorchallenge #barbarabaumann #justdoit by @yabut818

I did not take this as far as Tamara Laporte in the taster sessions of A Year of Wild Nature. I thought it wise to quit while happy. #watercolourfun #tamaralaporte #yearofwildnature #tastersession by @yabut818

I am taking part in the taster sessions for A Year of Wild Nature. Today I chose Melanie Rivers class because she was talking about Bear Medicine. I figured I needed some of that! This crazy weather gives me migraines. I'm feeling better now. The medicine of being distracted by this bear worked. Thanks to Juan Carlos Pavon for supplying the photo. #acrylicpainting #bear medicine #melanierivers #ayearofwildnature #tamaralaporte by @yabut818

Getting ready for the 3 minute mini ink challenge with Barbara Baumann. They are always fun. You don't have time to overtime or worry about mistakes. #mini_ink #3minutechallenge #barbarabaumann #goodpractice #justdoit by @yabut818

Drawing practice while I think about whether or not I'll take part in Inktober this year. This idea came from Barbara Baumann's Let's Sketch Together prompt #229. #letssketchtogether #barbarabaumann #practicemakesprogress #pencilsketch by @yabut818

It's a dull, windy day with rain just beginning so this experiment of using blue and brown seemed rather appropriate today for my Self Portrait Sunday post. #selfportraitsunday #watercolourexperiments #feelingtheweather by @yabut818
