Sundays in Brooklyn means strolling by Domino Park and stopping by all the cute shops 🌼

✨ The weather was so nice here in NYC yesterday so I had to go on a little adventure to Greenpoint. With so many spots bookmarked, @taku_sando was one of them! Their Japanese sandwiches made me miss all the Tamago Sandos I had in Tokyo. The interior and outdoor patio is also so warm & cozy! With a camp theme setup in their backyard, it’s the perfect spot to eat some yummy sandwiches, sip a drink and chat with some friends.

They also bake their own shokupan milk bread, and it was so soft & fluffy! With only a few items on the menu, they did a great job at perfecting their craft sandwiches!

Have you checked out the new 2nd floor food court at H Mart? They call it their Bibimbar, offering a build your own bibimbap bowl starting at $10.99 + $3 for protein! They were so generous with the portions making this a great stop for lunch or dinner! ✨

They also have soups, tteokbokki, a huge selection of snacks and ready to grab bites! It reminds me of the Korean convenience stores 😆 What are you trying?

$16 for an appetizer, entrée, drink and dessert! Yes please!!! The Thai food @pochananyc was authentic and flavorful! Reminded me of my mom’s cooking, especially for the Som Tum (Papaya Salad). Be there early from 5-7 on weekdays to enjoy this steal of a dinner!

Pizza 4P’s landed in Greenpoint, Brooklyn!

Chef Sakamoto, Michelin recognized brings you Italian flavors with his sourdough pizzas, fresh homage burratas, pasta dishes and small plates to start with.

Their restaurant originally located in Vietnam came all the way to Brooklyn, be sure to try to snag a resy if you can.

A new Cafe in SoHo ☕️🥞🫐

Frame Cafe just opened up its fourth location down in Nolita, with shops up on the UES & UWS! This location has plenty more seating.

Great coffee, & drinks inspired by the coffee shops over in Thailand. Also really like their food menu items, perfect mix of a light snack, breakfast or brunch to share.

Also super aesthetic & vibey with their camera theme.

Astoria, Queens Neighborhood Gems

Here are some of the spots I wanted to highlight in Astoria, Queens. A neighborhood I grew up visiting, but has changed over the years! With lots of new businesses, cafes, restaurants and cool shops. One of my favorite homey feel areas in NYC.

A ridgewood gem! Rolo’s serves up wood fired polenta bread, pastas, and dishes well curated by their chefs! They also have new seasonal specialty dishes. The waiter was lovely enough to let us know!

They’re known for their burgers which tend to sell out quick! & I wanted to try the sheet lasagna so badly but it had pork in it.

Definitely a splurge meal. A nice date night? Celebration?

Jackson Height’s newest Coffee Shop!

A new edition to the neighborhood! A Colombian cafe! It’s so hard to find good coffee in the area! Or an actual cafe to sit at.

Luckily, the coffee and matcha here were actually pretty good! The coffee was strong snd not watery at all. Matcha had the perfect green hue to it, def more on the savory umami side. Their empanadas were flaky and not too greasy! And I’m just happy they offer yogurt and açaí bowls too!!!

** $8 smoothies, $12 bowls!!!

They just opened the past week so be sure to stop by @santuariocafenyc :) Will definitely be back!

Coconut Ice Cream in Brooklyn @cocoboysnyc 🥥

After seeing this spot all over my socials, I was very excited when I was out & abt in Dumbo and happened to bump into their stand!

The founder was a teacher out in Thailand and brought back a taste of Thai Coconut ice cream to NYC! Everytime I’m visiting family in Thailand, this is a treat I always get! Very nostalgic for a lot of us. The sticky rice topping was actually perfection & spot on!

& the best compliment is that “it’s not overly sweet”, give it a try if you’re in the area!

Boil & Bake in Costa Mesa, California

It’s strange to never crave a bagel when I’m home in New York, but the moment I leave, ofc I want a bagel.

My friends took me to Boil & Bake for the ultimate test! Yes it’s different to your classic nyc bagel, but I still thought it was very good! Something about an open face bagel makes you savor the flavor & ingredients more? Or it might just be me.

I love a simple cream cheese and tomato slice! But def recommend anything with Lox!

Street Blends on Mott St, NYC

The newest caffeine shop opening in NYC! Ofc I had to give it a try. Lots of signature drinks to chose from, with a blend of different flavors. For matcha or coffee drinkers, there’s something for everyone.

Be sure to give it a try if you’re around the SoHo/ NoHo area.

Fish Cheeks in NoHo, NYC

Might be one of my favorite Thai spots in the city! True to authentic Thai flavors and cooking. Nothing basic about this spot! They specialize in seafood, so be sure to try it!!! I ighky recommend the Steam fish with Thai herbs if you’re looking for something tangy and refreshing!

Pick out a curry dish and a salad while you’re at it! Every dish packs a punch!!! THAI PERSON APPROVED, and I rarely say that.
