Something I am working on…

I have been drawing and painting for as long as i can remember. This is something I lost as a teenager, which is what happens to many people with creative hobbies when they enter adulthood. Life happens and it gets too busy, and well, it isn’t deemed as productive anyways. However, I have slowly been getting back at it, knowing it is something I love doing. There have been many factors pushing me to prioritise creating again. One of them is my months in Barcelona, where I had art history classes. This reminded me of my interest in it. Second, the rise of AI-slop ruining our feeds with generated “art”. It is supposed to be a human escape from our reality, it is supposed to be a fantasy world we create, driven by our desires and emotions. Thus, practice what you preach, I will be sharing more of my creative side. I have been following a lot of women creating art, any kind (paintings, clothing, ceramics, etc), and it has been very very inspiring. Social media should be fun and inspiring. I always have posted, because it is fun to me, but lately I have been thinking if it is even aligning with my morals still. However, I love taking photos and sharing them, and I will continue doing this in a way that is true to myself.

I have been working on a website that also serves as a portfolio. I will link it in my bio soon, but it is not 100% finished yet (perfectionism hello).

I will continue posting and sharing more the upcoming period and I hope you will follow along 🪽 by @yaitsamber
