A walk along the coastal path from Padstow and a bike ride to the north Cornwall coast with 30-40 mph winds by @yakbone

Yesterday was a beast of a 48 mile ride. We climbed 4000 feet in 30 miles with a 5 mile climb and somewhere in the day descended 4000 feet. The last 18 miles was relatively flat. It was nice to have the pedal assist but I was in the lowest setting trying to conserve my battery and it was a slow churn at 6 mph for a loooong time. Then my battery ran out of juice anyway and it was a heavy bike to deal with for the last half. We made it to the highest point in Cornwall and looked for ancient stone circles in the fog with sheep and cows. Made it to Padstow, a lovely fishing village where many people come to holiday and eat fish and chips and grab pints. We rode into town and thought it was a dog parade because there are so many dogs. Everyone had one or two and they bring them everywhere. Some even carry dog beds and lay them out under the table while they are eating. They are also allowed in most of the shops. A beautiful day in The Cotswolds on the National Cycling Network, somewhere in Devon. So green and quiet, you can hear the sheep bleating. 30-ish miles in the rain and the pub is close by. I think I counted 6 dogs and one baby carriage in the pub. by @yakbone
