This weekend, there will be an inflatable nightclub @taohoutdoorgallery and there will be many local DJs and a sick selection of EDM (Bass, 140, techno, dubstep, breaks) inside and out. We’ll also be joined by a food truck onsite as well as some of our favorite CLT creatives and small businesses! It’s not a pregame, it’s The Before Afters This Saturday, August 1st, 4-9PM @taohoutdoorgallery 🎟️ RSVP at link in bio! Little recap of the past weekend, I intended to play a set where it was focused on downtempo deep bass however, with the journey that I am currently in, it changed it’s course and I had a shift. Without going too deep, I started off very emotional and melodic with an intro that I have been building for a while now and was too scared to share it to the public. Being with Celestial Flow and other flow groups has brought me some understanding that flowing is a journey and not a race. I would strive to try to perfect my tasks however I very quick noticed that I am supposed to thrive, remain present and be fully in the moment. For that, I let go of my fear of being judged and created my story through my performance for the first time in my DJing career 🥹🥹 Thank you all for the support and flowing with me. I am still very new to the music and the DJing world and only hope to grow with everyone around me!! 🌱🌱 With that being said, Till next time 💗💗 taken in Crown Station by @yakinawubs

Another one for the records!! 🙂‍↕️ I’m super grateful to pull this off with @flareevan. It was a challenge to be able to fully express my feelings and emotions as we got to build this project together. After watching the anime Arcane, I reflected onto Jinx a lot. Seeing the relationships she had with her family, friends and the childhood she grew in was so relatable to my experiences in my life. The journey of the show impacted me in a way where it reminded me of what I had gone through. In which it had led me to articulate everything that came up into finishing this project. As much as I enjoyed listening to it, this was by far the most challenging project and so happy how much I force myself to evolve in order to release it to the public. WHAAAATTT?!?!? Yup, as many of yall have seen and maybe got the hint, I have molded myself to produce not just one genre. I started in just one genre just to get myself familiar with how everything works, now that things are making sense, I chose a path to be myself and create any genres however I still curate based off my journey and what I am going through. Yoo fam!! So…. truth be told, over the last few years I have been battling myself internally and consistently looking for external validation for those around me. It’s still ongoing thing however for the most part I do find a lot more manageable to start posting and fully expressing myself without holding back. I accept that I am still figuring it out and my creation does not have to be perfect. So I collaborated with SlimSpaces with this track and I believe it really spark something inside me to start sharing my life and encourage others to do the same and break the cycle that keeps us in the cage. Everything started when I went to my first Festival/Concert at EDC Orlando. Never in life did I experienced such an impactful event until that weekend. It alter mind to where everything I believed was all just a preset/program. I was limiting myself and was not able to see my full potential. It took a bit of time to evolve to this point, however it doesn’t stop there, it’s only getting better and I know we are all in this together 🫂 My first bass/riddim festival was Moonrise in Baltimore. I also got myself into House of PLUR to set up meetup spot for the fam and meet so many beautiful souls. Let me tell you, that’s when I really got myself submerged into the bass scene and I was never the same since then. That’s what got me into my name artist now. It was really tough decision to rebrand and start fresh with a new account on every single social profile…. And…. here we are, I’m YAKINA and this, this is just the beginning of the awakening that has been on the rise for years. I invite you to also be the impact and evolve as a whole for the Universe who has given us the opportunity to live this beautiful life and keep loving each other as Mother Earth let us be the builders for our future.
