Glory of Global Chinese on NBC Universal’s @jubaotv
A Separation, now on @omeleto
Producer at Torchlight Studios, FSU

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Wrapped my third feature with Torchlight Studios last week in Florida. In 2023 I started my collaboration as Co-Producer with @torchlightstudios.center , a production company extension of FSU Film School for their commercial feature productions. Our first ever feature, Noseeums, scored North American distribution with @quiverdistribution this October.

The students blow me away every time. They come in hungry, talented, and fearless. It feels pretty special to be part of a system that gives young filmmakers in their Master’s program the chance to make their OWN feature films. I am proud of them and proud of what we are building together.

The documentary I collaborated with @metmuseum is out today, celebrating the #asianamericanpacificislanderheritagemonth ! And hey, the #metgala is back too!

It has been such a rewarding experience writing and directing this episode, working side by side with the top curators in the world.

Did I mention it’s free to stream? Search “The Glory of Global Chinese” S2 Ep5, “How to Fall in Love with Chinese Culture in the MET” on @jubaotv on your TV devices.

You can stream Jubao on @xfinity @sling @plex.tv @xumoplay and COX.

¡Vamos, España! 🇪🇸
#worldcup2026⚽️ has been such a beautiful summer dream. To watch it live, to watch it live with a friend who shared both college and FSU with me, was unreal. Seeing the world coming together and Dallas being a wonderful host was not something I expected at the beginning of this tournament.
I started watching the World Cup with my mom probably in middle school. The late night screaming and yelling was a necessity. It’s indulging to be watching it in broad daylight for the past month. The sport itself didn’t create this frenzy. I think for most people, it’s the love, respect and equality that we haven’t felt for a long long time that’s guiding our heart.
It’s ended at the best note possible. Now the withdrawal kicks in. Let’s get back to work! by @yalanhuever

When I first met @carleesoeder in a film school project, I knew I needed to work with her. When ELIZA was created in @aseparation2019 , Carlee was my absolute first choice. There were scheduling conflicts, a lot of people said, “It’s not hard to cast a pretty white girl. You got plenty of options.” I disagreed. What Carlee brought was this incredible subtlety and control, empathy in Eliza that I didn’t see in anyone else, a well-rounded antagonist who deserves love as well as Huixian. Thank you Carlee.

And she learnt to speak perfect Mandarin!

An atypical Nunez’s process. An undyingly loyal crew. These are just a few of Nunez’s filmmaking ingredients. Being a part of the Nunez universe has been one of the most rewarding experiences.
Rachel Hendrix is having its LA premier this coming weekend @am_cinematheque with director’s Q&A and actors panel. Los Feliz screening has sold out, be sure to catch it on the Aero Theatre screening.
