How wonderful to see YALI’s BOBOLI vase in Rose featured in the November issue of @archdigest ! What an honour to be in the same pages as the brilliant Julianne Moore.

Designed by Marie-Rose Kahane and handcrafted in Murano by a skilled team of artisans, the BOBOLI vase is made by applying rows of molten glass horizontally around the body of a mouthblown vessel and then stamping a round imprint into this additional layer of glass. The result is a beautiful high relief that plays with the light to create a mesmerising display of circles within circles.

What a pleasure to see YALI’s BOBOLI Vase featured in the November issue of Architectural Digest. We love Julianne Moore’s sculptural sense of style and are honoured that AD’s Market Director @madelineomalley_ was inspired by a vintage piece of glassware from Moore’s home (seen on the cover itself) when she selected the BOBOLI vase for the magazine’s pages.

It’s also fantastic to see a beautiful handwoven Willow Wastepaper Basket by our friend @deborahneedleman featured too. Our followers may remember Needleman’s residency and exhibition in Venice @casa_yali last year. The art of human craft is second to none.

Light tells a story. In a city where cinema is a second language, Marie-Rose Kahane was inspired to create the Hollywood lamp.

Each handcrafted glass body is made in Murano using the incamiciato technique where a core of white lattimo glass is encased within a layer of transparent coloured glass. Thanks to this delicate combination, when illuminated the lamp becomes reminiscent of a camera bulb, emitting a soft cinematic glow.

Paired with a finely pleated silk georgette lampshade handcrafted in Milan, the light brings together two pinnacles of Italian craftsmanship in one timeless design.

Many thanks to @aspiredesignandhome for featuring YALI founder Marie-Rose Kahane in their autumn issue!

In the article by Salomé Stonys, Kahane is selected alongside @darcymiro and @dumaehome as an artist mixing “mediums, ideas and the rules of engagement.”Illustrated with evocative images by Oliver Haas, and facilitated by Roberta Angelini, the piece tracks Kahane’s shift from glass and wood to her experiments in metal, in particular bronze.

“Kahane’s work expresses her appreciation for beauty found in ancient materials and forms, reimagining them in a thoroughly contemporary way,” Stonys notes, “the new collection of spoons calls to mind ancient and familiar forms, functioning both as daily utensils and timeless sculptural artifacts.”

116 participants, 116 compositions.

For @theveniceglassweek with Nageire we invited visitors to create their own wild ikebana using flowers and branches gathered from the Venetian lagoon using a selection of @yaliglass vases.

Each arrangement was documented on polaroid, resulting in a collective visual archive shaped by personal interpretation and intuition.

This delicate interplay of opacity and transparency is reflected in the collection’s three distinctive colourways—Celeste, Rose and Ivory—which become even more captivating when illuminated.

The finely pleated lampshade is handcrafted in Milan by an experienced artisan using silk georgette, bringing together two exceptional Italian craft traditions in one timeless design.

The first portraits are in! Make sure to stop by the YALI courtyard this week to create your own composition.

A stem, a branch, a delicate cutting, whatever you take from the freshly gathered materials from the Venetian lagoon, take your time to arrange them in a handcrafted YALI vase before it’s immortalized in a Polaroid photo.

The NAGEIRE project by @roberta.angelini_ invites participants to take a moment out from the busy week to contemplate the beauty of the natural lagoon landscape and the possibilities it holds.

Every morning till the 20th of September.
