Earlier this year in Uganda, I met incredible women at the school where I worked, including a jajja (grandmother in Luganda) of three of the children, who still works in the mines despite her age. Mothers and grandmothers like her carry a quiet, powerful strength every day, caring for and protecting their children and others around them. taken in Namulanda by @yaninaisla
