YANK was a band formed by Sara Grossman, Phoebe Paster, Karis Laplante, and Svaja Nicklin in October of 2022. Since then we have written, practiced, and even tried to record a collection of original songs. We were planning on releasing music at some point during this year, but things don’t always go to plan.
There were times where our recording software had failed us and we had to start from scratch. There were moments where we had to completely rework our songs to accommodate the recording. However, our biggest set back was that the ladies of YANK have very busy schedules and it was hard to produce a finished song while having so many conflicts.
By the last few weeks of summer we had accepted the fact that we wouldn’t be able to produce a clean, studio quality, and finished song…but we never said we couldn’t release a RAW ASS EP.
That’s right, on Sara Grossman’s last day in the north shore, we decided to record an entire RAW EP on Svaja’s broken iPhone filled with goofs, sillies, and three of YANK’s best songs. We want to show the world all of our hard work even if it’s not recorded on state of the art technology.
So get ready boys…
