I’m incredibly happy (and honestly quite proud) to finally announce the return of Yann Taillefer with ROTOR. This is the kind of book you wait for over the years, the kind you almost stop believing in, and that ends up arriving stronger, stranger, and more radical than expected. ROTOR is not a comfortable artbook. It’s a machine gone rogue. An obsessive system built with absolute precision and destined to be useless. Gears turning for nothing, production lines that lead nowhere, inventions as meticulous as they are absurd. Everything is explained, diagrammed, documented , as if chaos itself could be archived. Of course, it doesn’t work. And that’s exactly why it’s beautiful. Taillefer’s line is razor-sharp, controlled just enough for everything to slip. Page after page, logic folds in on itself, systems devour themselves, motion becomes mental imprisonment. ROTOR speaks about work, progress, repetition, neurosis , without ever shouting, without decoration, with a rare and quiet violence. This is more than a book. It’s a mental object. A trap. One of those projects that reminds me exactly why I publish books. ROTOR is available now in two editions: a standard edition, and an ultra-limited edition of 99 copies including 20 extra pages, four signed prints, and an original drawing by the artist. Needless to say, this edition won’t last long. Available now at www.themansionpress.com Link in profile — worldwide shipping. by @yann.taillefer
