Two memorable moments of film music this week at Act'One Cinema !
One in old-fashioned style, Buster Keaton's Steamboat Bill Jr accompanied live in solo piano -
And the other revisiting love themes from classic films (see us again on the 7th of December), with the fantastic four --> 'Violin master' Mariia; 'Oud and Bass lord' Deniz; 'the vocal maracas' king Yaor.

Footage by Phoebe Greenland

@yaorjacob

Thought I’d post some rehearsal footage from the end of last year when me, @samuelsaint222 and @yaorjacob performed live at my show Set and Reset @artat111_gallery .

There was something really magical about rehearsing after dark, surrounded by my paintings and with a window out onto the street.

This isn’t quite the finished piece, and you can see that there are still moments of evident work in progress!, but thanks to @leehee_outwandering for filming and hope you enjoy!

The day after … what an awesome two weeks with Set and Reset @artat111_gallery ! And so lovely to have had @sehrang.gallery showing alongside me in week 2.

Thanks so much to everybody who visited and particularly to the folk that diverted their journeys and were open to being encouraged in off the street - Afsoon and I loved meeting you and thanks for the great chats and support!

Like last year, having an evening of multisciplinary/collaborative moments was a dream of mine and I couldn’t be more grateful to my wonderful creative friends old and new who made it happen -

@abraham_kleinman with comedy giggles
@harry_buckoke introducing us to the beautiful viola de gamba
@amy_abrahams giving us set and reset in extraordinary words

And then to @samuelsaint222 (movement) and @yaorjacob (sound)…
What an absolute joy to be creating together, and wonderful to have @benat_oe joining us behind the camera. SO motivated to try and realise this dream of sharing a full show next year.

Nothing is fixed, everything is possible… watch this space xx

After more than a year since my relocation, with my heart divided between home and London, it’s the power of creativity and the support of my artistic friends that fuels my journey forward. I’m thrilled to announce that this December, I have the honor of directing Puccini’s opera - La Bohème - in celebration of the centenary of his legacy, right here in London.
