I’m really proud of our team’s process for virtual consults—we’ve worked out a system that efficiently gets to the heart of what clients want and need, so we can come up with exciting ideas for the project in the very first hour together. Consults typically book out 1-3 months in advance and full landscape designs book out 3-6 months in advance. If you’re wanting to redo your landscape in 2026, now is the time to get the ball rolling! #sustainablelandscapedesign #sustainablelandscaping by @yardfarmer.co

Here’s a rundown of lawn alternatives that need way less work (and water) than Kentucky Blue. Remember—just because something is the default option doesn’t mean it’s the smart choice! #lawn #lawnalternative #sustainablelandscape #nomowlawn by @yardfarmer.co

Perspectives Over Pints: Chapter VIIn this chapter we’ll discuss: Your Yard as Resistance: Gardening for Collective Impact. Join us on Tuesday, July 21st at 7 p.m. to learn about staying engaged in activism, conservation, and community through collective joy and found purpose. Daryl will talk about ways to use your yard & garden to protect our native ecosystems and power social change.ļæ½Our featured speaker is Daryl Lindsey, the founder & principal designer of YardFarmer. She is a life-long lover of plants and wildlife. Like many who live in the Salt Lake Valley, Daryl’s anxiety about the state of the Great Salt Lake spurred her to find meaning in action. Enter YardFarmer, a sustainable design studio centered on native plants and water conservation. Since opening for business, YardFarmer has designed more than 300 native, waterwise landscapes, saving over 10 million gallons of water. Daryl has certifications in Permaculture Design and Rainwater Harvesting Design. This is a ticketed event and will take place at Fisher Brewing Company 320 W 800 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. You must be 21+ to attend. by @yardfarmer.co

Mike and Daryl are here to show you that water conservation doesn’t have to be complicated. No matter what type of irrigation system you have, there’s likely a smart controller that can help you water more efficiently. Smart controllers automatically adjust watering schedules based on weather and landscape conditions, helping you save water without the guesswork. šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø No more standing in a hot garage or sprinkler box trying to navigate complicated menus — control your irrigation from anywhere (even out of town) using your phone! Thinking about upgrading before the heat of summer? Check out available rebates through Utah Water Savers and get money back on your purchase while maximizing your water efficiency! Want to hear more from Mike? Comment what irrigation or water conservation topics you’d like him to cover next! šŸ‘‡ by @yardfarmer.co

No idea where that accent came from.Yes, you CAN establish new plants this summer (preferably native/drought tolerant ones!) but you should make sure you’re making smart choices to keep your plants happier and your water bills down. by @yardfarmer.co

The Box Elder County Commission is voting tomorrow on a massive hyperscale data center that could devastate our ecosystem and community. We are talking about billions of gallons of water and emissions on a massive scale, with huge unanswered questions about long term impacts to the Great Salt Lake and our communities. The vote is tomorrow, May 4, at 4pm at the Box Elder County Fairgrounds in Tremonton. Be there early at 3pm for the protest. People power works when we show up.If you cannot attend, email the commissioners and file a protest against the data center’s water rights change application for $15 through the Utah Division of Water Rights portal or for free at waterrights@utah.gov. Utahns deserve transparency and accountability before decisions this big are made. The stakes are too high to stay quiet and play nice. Tag a friend who should be there tomorrow! by @yardfarmer.co
