POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Happy New Year! I’m popping in today to share a few 2023 updates for Yardia.

🌱My word of the year is ROOT. I wanted something that combined contentment and growth, and something gardening-related. When the word “root” appeared in late December, it felt exactly right to guide me through this year.

🌿Yardia’s Spring Collection is coming soon! I’m still waiting for the cards to be in my hands, so it will release to wholesale a bit later this month and to you in my online shop after that. I’ll announce its retail release to newsletter subscribers first.

🪴I’m experimenting with limiting my use of social media this year. When it comes to social media, I tend to be all or nothing: when the apps are on my phone, I’m on them ALL. THE. TIME. And when I delete them from my phone, I never think about them at all. I’ve found it to be more distracting than useful lately, so I’m quitting Tiktok and I’ll most likely use Instagram significantly less. I think I’ll still use it for day-of event announcements and the like, and I have a cache of not-yet-posted process videos to share someday, but the norm will be for the app to be deleted from my phone. My newsletter (linked in bio) will be your best way to stay in touch with Yardia news and updates in 2023!

As a newsletter subscriber, you’ll receive a welcoming series that introduces you to Yardia, and a weekly update from me, including news about upcoming craft shows, new collections, works in progress and a free illustrated calendar background that I send out each month.

Hope to see you in the newsletter and enjoy the rest of your week!

Today is your recommended Christmas ordering deadline for Yardia ready-to-ship products.

Shipping times can't be guaranteed, so today (12/15) is your best bet to receive your Yardia gifts and cards in time for Christmas gifting.

I'll be getting all your orders out by tomorrow the 16th, and then I'll be taking a much needed holiday break from December 17th through the 26th. There will be no shipping during this time and any orders during the break will begin to be processed starting on December 27th.

Thank you so much for choosing to shop small and support independent artists like me this holiday season. See you in 2023!

It’s the holiday season and we’re counting down quickly. I’m still so in love with this year’s new Peace On Earth card, which I based on one of my mom’s photos from her epic visit to Antarctica this year. Tomorrow is your last day to order from Yardia before the holidays, and then I’ll be closing up shop for a restful break until the 27th.

Reminders and details:
📦Christmas Deadline: Thursday (12/15) is your deadline to order ready-to-ship gifts from Yardia for Christmas delivery.

🎄Shipping Break: Yardia will be closed for the holidays December 17-26. There will be NO SHIPPING and orders placed during this time will begin to ship starting December 27th.

🛍️Shop Local: Miss the shipping deadline? You can also find Yardia in hundreds of independent stores across the US. Click on Store Locator via the link in bio to find a shop in your neighborhood.

@RenegadeCraft begins at 11 today, my last market of the year! Here are some of the things you’ll find in my booth:

🌲Stickers are a thoughtful mini gift to slip into a card.
🖼️Nature art prints are a fan favorite for gifts. They’re a standard 11x14 size for easy framing, too.
💌In-person exclusive boxed holiday cards help you send snail mail for the holidays.
📝Punny notepads are perfect stocking stuffers.
☕️Camp mugs are ready for all your holiday beverages.

You’ll find me right in of Magnuson Park’s Hangar 30, in booth 68, December 10 & 11 from 11-5. Hope to see you there!

Tomorrow @RenegadeCraft begins, my second and final in-person market of the year! I'm restocked and will be bringing fresh batches of all my holiday cards and gifts, including this quite popular Backyard Birds of the Pacific Northwest art print, which unexpectedly sold out at my market last weekend. Luckily I received a new batch of these prints just in time to package them up for the show this weekend.

Plus I'll have all your favorite Seattle and Pacific Northwest-themed cards, stickers, art prints, mugs, notepads and even a few more mystery packs.

You'll find me right in the center of Magnuson Park's Hangar 30, in booth 68, December 10 & 11 from 11-5. Hope to see you there!

Final day of @UrbanCraftUprising here in the Seattle Center exhibition hall from 10-5.

I can't tell you enough how grateful I am to you for making this my best market ever, and with still one more day to go. Holiday seasons are so important to the sustainability of gift-based artist businesses like mine, and I'm incredibly thankful that so many of you have chosen to support tiny local maker businesses in your holiday shopping this year. Let's do it again today!

You'll find @Yardia in near the back in booth 17. I've restocked everything that sold out yesterday (and got more bags and business cards which also ran out🙃). Stop by and wrap up your holiday gifting and card sending while also supporting your local artist small businesses!

Typical Christmas in Seattle: snow that turns to rain, and this year, gathered around in the early morning hours to watch some soccer. I think I lost about ten years off my life in the last nine minutes of that last match while frantically sleeving cards to take the edge off. And now I’m thrilled that not only will you find me at the Seattle Center this weekend for this winter’s @UrbanCraftUprising, but that beforehand on Saturday, the Sounders are hosting a World Cup watch party in the nearby Armory!

I think the timing will work out perfectly to cheer on the US and then head over to the exhibition hall to support all your favorite local independent makers. You’ll find me in booth 17, most definitely sporting the USA scarf I’ve got wrapped around me right now. See you there?

Where did the week go? Thank you so much for all your orders during last weekend’s Thank You Sale and into this week! It feels like the holiday season started very, very suddenly for both wholesale and retail orders, but as of this morning I’m finally caught up (for now) on packing orders and everything is on its way.

This is a good time to remind you to plan ahead for holiday gifting! For your best bet at Christmas delivery, Yardia’s 2022 order-by deadlines are:

❄️December 4th: Print-On-Demand Camp Mugs, Baby One Pieces & Tote Bags
❄️December 15th: All Other Products (Cards, Stickers, Art Prints, Notepads & more)

Have a great weekend!
