Hello 🌙

I'm back! This time with my own version of the #artiststarterpack 🌸

I wanted to partake in this trend as I highly stand up for the authenticity of art and the humanity behind its process. As the sentence I wrote at the bottom of the package states 'Made with a human, creative mind...and lots of trial and error', I retain that what makes art so special and meaningful is the process and thought behind it.

As messy as it can be, every decision good or bad behind an art piece counts.
And as little as it can be, every thought or meaning behind an art piece counts.

I made another version at first, but it was blank and lacked personality. It took me a few more days to finally come up with the concept for this second one, but now I can look back at the whole process and be happy with what I created. I think I did a very good job at giving a general idea of what my art means to me: to dream, to wonder and to see beauty in everything 💗

Here's a little list of the things I included on the shelves:

♡ headphones
♡ graphic tablet
♡ phone
♡ a few earrings I own
♡ my hairbrush
♡ a jigsaw puzzle box (a dear hobby of mine)
♡ mugs of all sorts (I'm obsessed with them)
♡ coffee
♡ tea
♡ tiramisu (I love many desserts but this one is one of my favorites along eclairs, which I didn't include)

And last but no least, I would like to mention that for this coloring style I was inspired by the visuals of a phone tea making game called 'Little Corner Tea House'. It's truly adorable and I highly reccomend you check it out when you have some spare minutes on your hands 🌼

--------

See you soon guys. Hopefully I'll post again before April ends :') Have a wonderful day 🍓 by @yarrow_tea

'On a cold, rainy day of October, a little mandrake was shaking in fear as its destiny laid in the hands of a mysterious witch.

On the table she had all sorts of things laying around. Potions, books, pumpkins and herbs. And two candles that lighted up the room.

With a quiet mumble, the witch made a spell that sewed the mandrake's mouth shut. She didn't want to faint from its agonizingly loud screams, after all.

But what was going to happen to the mandrake? Was the witch about to evily throw it in the cauldron full of sage, thisle and who knows what else?

Perhaps not. Perhaps the witch just needed a tear or two for her potion....

Hello 🌙

As promised, today I'm here with a new post. Ever since I made my artist support animation reel, I've wanted to make more little animations in this style. Specifically one of a witch.

This is officially my entry for @colorinacolorada 's beautiful dtiys from last year :)

As you can see, this time it definitely took me longer to complete since the scene was a bit more complex than the other one. The amount of work this simple animation took was absolutely unexpected for me, but I'm glad I managed to push through! I learned so much already, and I can't wait for some new animations in the future ✨️

◇ A little note in regards to the music ambience ◇

The song I used is called 'Solitude' and it's a soundtrack from the ps3 game Folklore. It's one of my favorite games ever, and everything about it has been incredibly inspiring for me throughout the years. Since I couldn't find it at all as a sound on here, I made one myself and added some free to use ambience sounds to create a cozy atmosphere.

I hope you like my work and until next time! 💚

Hello 🦊

Today I am here with my entry for @lion.heart.cat 's gorgeous dtiys.

I have no words to describe how both amazing and difficult it was to recreate this piece. I have started it this past Spring and here I am, finishing it in September. The plan initially was to do a Spring theme, but the more time passed the more I leaned into a Fall one, which is the reason behind the earthly and slightly darker palette I chose 🍁

While it seemed like a never ending journey, I am very happy to finally announce that it's done! I think this piece is my most detailed so far. I'm embarrassed to say I have surpassed 400 layers while working on it, but proud nonetheless.

Thank you so much to Lionheart for creating such an inspiring piece. It was a pleasure to do my own version and I sincerely hope you like it 🧡
Also thank you a lot for being kind enough to extend the deadline. It really helped!

That being said, I hope everyone is doing alright and see you in my next post (which is hope will be soon!)

Hello 🌌

Today I am here to share my entry for my lovely friend @marumi.arts 's dtiys, where I drew her beautiful OC Eoris.

Two things I want to say. First of all, congratulations for reaching past 1k followers dear Marumi! I'm so proud of you. You deserve them and many many more since you're a wonderful person and artist who's always so friendly and sweet 💜

Second, I am utterly obsessed with the design of this character as well as all of your other characters. It was more than a pleasure to draw Eoris and I had so much fun recreating her in my own style! 🥰

I hope you guys like this piece. I personally like it a lot considering I haven't drawn in more than three months and this was the very first work that required a bit more rendering. I also enjoyed working on this because I couldn't wait to draw this cool red light and you guys know I'm a huge fan of magical things that glow in the dark xD

I don't have much else to say other than see you in my next post! I am hoping to make a fanart for the anime "Tokimeki Tonight', so look forward to it 🌸

Hello 👻

I am back. Back with my first post of the year ✨️

Between some usual issues with my pc and the lack of energy to draw for some months, I finally felt some inspiration to get back into drawing.

This time I made a fanart for @blackrose128 in occasion of her birthday, which was on March 25 🎉 As always, I am very happy to have discovered such an amazing person and content creator like you Rose! I hope you've had a wondeful birthday and that every year they're will be more and more good things coming your way 🥰

It didn't take me long to think of a theme for this piece, since my mind thought of the game "That's Not My Neighboor" straight away. I still enjoy watching Rose play it from time to time, and I thought it'd be so cool to create a character for her in my own style ^^

Nightmare mode in particular inspired me, since every human character has their monster version and I think the concept is so fun.

I tried my best to recreate the room in all of its details, then worked on Rose's character. I didn't have many ideas for what monster she could represent at first, but two of her pictures (which you can see on the last slide of this post) finally made my brain gears turn and here she is...

...a nine tailed fox! 🦊

Her design took me a while to come up with, but I think it was really worth it in the end. I debated on whether to use bright colors or dark, but chose dark since they're cooler and fit the spooky concept better!

As you can see, I tried to mix some elements from both of the two pictures I used as references. My goal was to create a character that has a beautiful and alluring, yet dangerous and mischievous presence, as intended for a nine tailed fox 🤍

◇◇◇

That being said, I really hope you guys like this work as much as I enjoyed making it, and see you again (hopefully lol) with another post soon 😚

Have a great day everyone 💜 by @yarrow_tea

Hello 🌠

As promised, here I am with this year's Art Vs Artist post ✨️

I must say, this has been a slow year for me in terms of art productivity. Yet I don't feel too bad about it because I believe that I'm slowly heading towards a different direction compared to the past year. One that makes the gears in my brain spin! That's right. I want to create pieces that have a story, a scene, a long thought behind it.

This year, before every drawing, I would make an active effort to create a unique atmosphere and feeling. I tried some different poses, discovered a new, much simpler artstyle that I love to use for animated reels (look at the top middle from this post), started making reels for the first time and got more comfortable with how I use color in my works.

Not to mention that I drew a few more extra pieces compared to last year. That's an improvement for sure xD

Overall, I'm quite happy with how this year went for my art as well as my art account. We have surpassed 350 followers and I have so many wonderful friends on here who are always so amazing and supportive of me! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will try my best to give that support back! 😚💞

Have some wonderful holidays, everyone 💖 by @yarrow_tea

Hello 🌙

Surprise.

Despite technical issues such as an old pc that barely works anymore and wouldn't turn on and grant me access to my files, I still managed to draw the last piece of the year 💛

I don't know how it happened, but my pc turned on miraculously and not only I backed up all my files, but I also finished this work (before midnight of December 20, which is the deadline, mind you xD). My heart was broken when I thought that I had lost it, so I was incredibly happy to finish it despite the anxiety of my pc turning off again at any time!

Now, on to the actual drawing. This is my entry for @mmmotionsicknesss 's gorgeous dtiys. This lovely lady is her OC Apollinna.

Everything about this character made me fall in love at first sight, from her lovely gray hair, to her eyes and elegance. I also loved that her design is based on moths and I think all the details of her character design showcase that quite well~

I really enjoyed working on this piece and I hope you like it as much as I do 💗

◇◇◇

Before the new year comes I will also make this year's art vs artist post, so look forward to it :)

As to any new art....I'm not quite sure. I wanted to draw something special for my birthday on January 4, but if my pc doesn't do its part then I won't be able to 🥲

So for now let's just enjoy the holidays and not think too much about it~ ✨️🎄❄️

Hello 🌙

Since these days I've been having some issues posting on my scheduled days (Thursday and Sunday) I drew a little something and posted it today as a special occasion.

I present to you the 'Lady of Dreams'.

I didn't have a pre planned concept for her. I just drew and casually let my pen do its thing. As this character was slowly taking shape and more color was added onto the canvas, the atmosphere started to feel dreamy and magical.

Therefore the name of this lady, who in my mind is a protective figure who makes sure everyone wakes up when a bad dream gets too intense 🧚‍♀️

I still feel a bit hurt about the work I was supposed to post yesterday, but sadly there's nothing I can do about it since the file got corrupted and can't be opened by my drawing software anymore 💔

I will retry drawing it though! I've postponed it to November, possibly as a goodbye piece to spooky season. I'm sure I can do an even better job than before, so I'll slowly try to move on :)

That being said, I hope you like this unexpected (for me) drawing and see you in my next post with some spooky things! 👻 🎃

Hello 🍁

Today I am here to share yet another fall themed drawing. This time it's an entry for @kalaidas_art 's adorable dtiys, which I instantly loved 🧡 I changed a couple of things in my own version since I a few things weren't coming out the way I wanted them to. Despite that, I still tried to create a warm, cozy feeling that resembles the original~

I was supposed to post this dtiys entry last Sunday, but I had to restart the drawing all over again since I felt stuck with the old version. I will definitely share that unfinished drawing in my stories though, if you're interested! I was thinking of creating a story highlights folder specifically for all my unfinished pieces, that way those works get some love too ^^

That being said, expect a new work this upcoming Sunday! Here's a little hint for the theme:

🎪 🎭 🔮🎈

As October is right around the corner, my drawings will start getting a little spookier as Halloween approaches. So be ready for lots of spooky stuff, both dtiys and personal projects 👀👀

Hello 🍁

Today I want to share a little dtiys I'm participating to. It's from a lovely illustration by @monnuagesucre 🧡

I know I'm very late to the party, but I want to keep the fall vibes going on my account before spooky month comes around and this dtiys inspired me lots.

I also know there is a new version of this dtiys made by the same artist, but I decided to draw this one because I really loved the color palette ^^

That being said, I hope you like it and see you in my next post! Have a lovely day everyone~
