Pictures of the scenography we built for @broei.be @yart.be at Duivelsteen during Gentse Feesten.

For this project we were asked to make a sheltered area in the garden, which resulted in these two dismountable roof structures.

For counterweight we used clay pipes from @rotordc , also used as seating.

The bitumen roof panels, which came from a bankruptcy auction, were given to @scrap_vzw after dismantling.

Mix Monster Menno translates this chaotic archive project into an unpredictable, high-energy live performance that bridges avant-garde noise and classic turntablism. Equipped with his signature decks, he seamlessly slices, loops, and refurnishes the obscure Ultra Eczema catalog right in front of the audience. The live set pays heavy homage to the gritty nostalgia of late-90s after-hours mixtapes, masterfully channeling the raw energy of his days with STUFF.

Yalla Soundsystem (YSS) is a music collective of non-disciplinary artists: Bader Shashit, Acid Ponch, 5Amaseen and their cloud-based ghost producer Cheb GPT. Armed with four decks, a drum pad and a sampler they operate in true soundsystem fashion, with fast-paced mixing driven by instinct. Their performances unfold as an ADHD-style polyrhythmic mashup set.

I’m a queer historian and tour guide, specialised in local queer and gender history.
In this event I’ll talk about that history, from the iconic Castle of Gerald the Devil...
Who was Gerald (spoiler: toxic!), how is the origin of our city’s name connected with gender, what do witches have to do with Saint Bavo’s Cathedral, and who are the women alongside the statue of Jacob van Artevelde... Find out all about it at this talk – not for people with a fear of lesser-heard inclusive stories.

UFP presents: performative male contest

Bring your feminist literature, sanitary pads, ipod nano and your best pair of loafers to Broei Duivelsteen on 24/07 and make the ladies drool 🤤. Performative males nailed it with their female gaze looks and we’d like to honour them by dressing (dragging?) up as one.
It’s gonna be a contest, no need to prepare but you can always bring your guitar and sing an indie cover of Chappel Roan’s The Subway. Or slam some poetry, read a chapter of Bell Hooks’ All About Love,… you get the vision! The winner gets a prize!!
